When I bought this rifle, I was expecting alot for the $A1900 that I spent.....and it hasn't dissapointed! It is extremely accurate..1/2 inch groups at 40 yards. has plenty of punch. I use a 21 grain pellet. the manufacturer says 16 grains, but the importer here in Australia recommends the heavier. the larger pellet has plenty of knock-down for the bunnies I use it for and the semi-auto action doesn't seem to impede it's accuracy. I would've liked a pressure gauge on the rifle air canister... (read more)

Monsoon's pro and contra all come from it's semi-auto feature: very good for rapid fire, esp. for moving target, not best choice for long-distance shots and for the shots that require high accuracy. To my mind the main disadvantage is that you can't switch between semi-auto and manual mode, which could make Monsoon a nice all-in-one rifle. (read more)

I'm in Russia and had to arrange a license too, because I opted for 5.5 calibre, which is more powerful than 4.5 and in this country it's the question of power not automatic reloading. I had a lot of air guns but never 5.5, so I passed a long way of bureaucratics so that my first semi-auto rifle would be my first 5.5 also.

After the Revolution, the Monsoon is FX's second attempt to build a fast-handling semi auto air rifle. A success! Unique and fast semi-auto mechanism with supreme accuracy offhand at forty yards and with unequaled for a PCP long distance precision from a rest. It shoots 36 .22 cal. pellets at 920 fps and nearly 30 ft.lb. energy at the muzzle. Needs a 200 BAR fill in order to shoot 3 12-shot magazines in a few seconds consistently, before refilling. My brand new FX Monsoon jammed after ten clips shootin recommended FX pellets and I sent it back for repairs. Over two months now and still waiting for parts from the factory. Poor quality, poor service. I also had a Fx Ranchero which started to show remarkable wear after 600 shots. These guns are made out of materials too soft and not worth the price they ask. Buy something else instead and avoid trouble. (read more)

The FX Monsoon is a very very nice rifle that you don't need to reload every shot and you
don't miss the target 1

LOVE IT! It's the best! Highly recommended for serious shooters. This is an excellent rife 12 shot SEMI-AUTO RULES! I have owned the 22cal version for about 6 months. I have shot about 3200 rounds and I love it! It never jams, sounds great (Quite) and it's unbelievably accurate. I can shoot a dime sized grouping off my bipod and clamped in a vice it will shoot a grouping less than'in diameter. 1 shot 1 kill for rodents, and pest birds like pigeons. I love it more than the FX Revolution... (read more)

A supreme hunting air rifle with unbelievable accuracy at unheard of distances for a PCP air rifle and ease of handling. Top marks to FX for a unique (so far) all-around air rifle for hunting and plinking. (read more)

The gun is a great gun. It handles very well. Can do a 1/2 inch group at 35 yards. I've shot 3 ground hogs with it so far. It was shooting right around 30ft/lbs. I love the gun. It fits my needs. I need a fast hunting gun. Powerful to hunt ground hogs, and with a stock that fits you. (read more)

FX know their rifles! I've got a T12, and at full power,(36ftpounds) I can only count on 24 shot's, (2mags). Take it down to 30ftpounds and I get 3 mags. Unfortunately I cant have one here in Sweden as it's a semi auto and requires a license. Are you in the UK?
