    Good Points: Windproof.
    Shower proof.
    Actually looks stylish.

Bad Points: Doesn't keep heat in - wearers need to keep moving or you'll start to shiver in minutes.

General comments: I've had my Mountain Equipment G2 Jacket now since 2003 (not long after it came out).
I bought it on a recommendation from a friend who had bought one of the first ones available. I wasn't disappointed. It keeps the wind off you (it's got "Gore Windstopper") and can put up with light to moderate showers (it's got a water-repelling coating on the outer).

One of the major drawbacks is that the jacket is quite thin and doesn't have any insulation as such. It's designed to keep the wind off you and not much else, so be aware of this and take extra insulation.

Though I'd still recommend it - I wear mine when I'm driving, out on the hills, going round town. It's the most versatile jacket I've owned.
