Bought Wickes 120 pressure washer used it one, went to use it this year and had same problem as other reviewers the hose came away when turned on. Took advice on other review and used a jubilee clip and it worked okay. Thanks to previous reviewer for advice.

I bought thid Wickes 120 bar pressure washer and was initially pleased as it did a good job. Like many others, I found that the hose connector on the high pressure side eventually shot off as the plastic threads could not withstand the pressure. The simple solution to this is to fit a large, sturdy jubilee clip to the outside diameter of the plastic connector. In case you don't know what a jubilee clip is, it's like a metal band that goes around the outside of the connector and you tighten it with a screwdriver. This holds the plastic threads tight against the metal connector on the pump and stops it shooting off. A good hardware store or automotive parts store should have them.
Don't be conned into paying the manufacturer (Lavor) £40 to fit a new hose which will just have the same problem later on. They should have fitted a metal connector on the hose initially, not a plastic one.

Great little washer until , like other reviewers , the hose shot out of the washer because the plastic thread would not grip the metal thread . Would have thought this might have been tested first before sale . Might try the super glue idea .

Just bought this unit from my local wickes for £59.99 Works very well and has cleaned my entire patio area and my drive with no problem (Total use about 3 Hours straight).
Its a very good unit for the price, and the unit's contruction is not the best and does look a little mickey mouse, however it does the job. It came with 2 attachments, both very good.
If it lasts 2 years i'll be happy as i intend on using it every month.

Wickes 120 bar pressure hose. After 2 years and about 10 hours use on the patio the hose connection on the machine burst adrift and would not retighten as the plastic nut apparently stripped and would not hold under pressure. Finally it stayed put using superglue!!! Then during use on patio today it packed up in a cloud of smoke. Not fit for purpose in my book!

Very disappointing. Water gushed out of the handle after a few months. Tried to contact Lavor customer service for a replacement gun as Wickes said they do not deal with warranty claim but my claim was dismissed by Lavor as normal wear and tear - appalling!!

Bougt this Wickes 120 Bar Pressure Washer in May out of action by August. Water gushes from the handle resulting in complete loss of pressure at the lance end. Dismanteling reveals in my view an inadequate plastic coupling burst along its length. Unfit for purpose.

i have had 3 pressure washers and they have all failed. This Wickes 120 Bar Pressure Washer unit is cheap because its made of cheap material and will not last more than 8 continual uses on a saturday washing your car.

The Wickes Pressure Washer is good when working but only lasted two years then seized up. Attempts to repair it failed. Attempts to phone the given telephone number gave me no serious help and cost 75 p a minute.

I have been very pleased with this Wickes 120 Bar Pressure Washer until this year (2 years old) when the motor seized. On investigation the unit was leaking oil. I'm disappointed to say the least.

Generally a good domestic pressure washer for all general purposes. Auto pump switch off - trigger operated. Very light weight. I recommend this Wickes.

I don't know if it was because the box was really dirty, or if the Wickes 120 Bar Pressure Washer is about to be discontinued, but this was less than half it's original 100GBP price in my local Wickes.
The washer comes with two tools: a straight-forward lance and a 'turbo' lance. The latter has something in it that rotates to cause the flow to oscillate slightly. It also comes with a shampoo dispenser that fits the turbo lance.
I've just used mine to clean the patio. I just used the plain lance and cold water - the difference is amazing. But, I would definitely advise caution before using it on your car - it's very powerful!!
The washer is made for Wickes by Lavor. I have now ordered an extension piece to make the lance longer.
It might well be worth checking your local Wickes - at the price I paid, it's a bargain!

After three outings with the pressure washer the same happened to mine water gushed out of th e handle.
I opened the handle to find one of the o rings had started to come out. Put it back together same thing happened.
Next step is to see if I can find some decent o rings where I work, as its an aircraft company let hope so.
