RIM BlackBerry 8820
17 Aug 2007

Summary
Is this the best business phone on the market?

Verdict
With the 8820, RIM has essentially taken an already fantastic business tool and by adding Wi-Fi, made it even better. It's what the 8800 should have been from the start.

RIM BlackBerry 8820
22 Aug 2007

Summary
As well as the usual messaging, GPS and multimedia offerings, the BlackBerry 8820 now adds Wi-Fi to the equation. It's a great option for business users, with impressive battery life, too

Pros
Easy-to-use trackball ; good screen ; Wi-Fi and GPS

Cons
No 3G support ; no HTML support for email ; no camera

Verdict
With its neat combination of Wi-Fi, GPS and mobile emailing features, the 8820 is an excellent communications tool for business users. Next time, however, we'd like to see support for 3G added into the mix

RIM Blackberry 8820
19 Sep 2007

Summary
The exterior of the new BlackBerry 8820 may look familiar. After all, the device has the same sleek black design as the BlackBerry 8800, which was launched earlier this year. The new phone has one important upgrade under the hood, however: Wi-Fi.

Pros
Supports Wi-Fi Built-in GPS

Cons
Lacks a camera

Verdict
The business-oriented 8820 lacks a camera and some of the other consumer-friendly applications (such as access to popular instant messaging clients) found on other BlackBerry devices. The support for Wi-Fi is an excellent tradeoff, however, and the ...

BlackBerry 8820
23 Aug 2007

Summary
The Wi-Fi-equipped BlackBerry 8820 is what its predecessor, the 8800, should have been. As implemented, though, Wi-Fi's value is somewhat limited as the 8820 doesn't include full SIP support for unfettered VoIP usage.

Consistently fast task speeds, Great print/scan quality, Expandable paper handling and memory, PictBridge port, Automatic document feeder (ADF), Network-ready, Brother ControlCenter is flexible and customisable, Security feature is great for a multi ...

Cons
No junk fax blocker, No auto duplexer, Walk-up scanning options are a bit limited, Colour printing could use a tiny bit of improvement, Screen could be larger, Lacks 3G, Lacks camera

Verdict
The Wi-Fi-equipped BlackBerry 8820 is what its predecessor, the 8800, should have been. As implemented, though, Wi-Fi's value is somewhat limited as the 8820 doesn't include full SIP support for unfettered VoIP usage...

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic
17 Mar 2009

I had this Nokia 5800 Tube Xpress Music phone for about 6 weeks in which time I had three different handsets. the build quality of this phone is just so poor. the materials used are cheap and my main problem was a gap in casing which starts at the top right near the power on off button but eventually opens the whole way around the device. my replacement was the same and my replacements replacement was guess what? the same. nokia say it is an earpeace fault. i am changing to the e71. Good...

Nokia N97
29 Jul 2009

Ok, so the Mokia N97 starts life at a disadvantage in terms of firmware, so what. The N97 has potential, which is what N95 started with. I have installed the 1st firmware update & the phone is noticeably better. There IS more to do, but the phone has a fast internet connection & lots of memory. The keyboard is good and Python is already available to the Symbian OS. I love this phone and the developers of app's and games for this mobile are already hard at work. I think that the N97 will gain...

Apple iPhone

The Apple iPhone a great phone. Of course before you buy you need to read what it has and what hasn't and make your own choice of pluses and minuses. For me it works. Is a innovative phone that none of the other companies could do for so many years that mobile phone is on the market , just for this Apple iphone is worth considering. But at the end of the day is your decision.

Apple iPhone

It's by far the most superb slick looking phone out there right now, the touchscreen is really easy to get used to after a short while and not fiddley at all, as is the general navigation through menus and operation of the device. The i pod sounds as good as any of the other ipod's from apple too. The lack of fast (3G) browsing connectivity and limited blue tooth capabilities may put some off. Probably not as much as the price though. If you have got to have the coolest looking gadget...

BlackBerry Storm
18 Nov 2008

Well worth the wait to say the least lucky to one of the first to get my hands on one. The big thing I will say if you haven't used a Blackberry before it will take a few days to get the hang of but when you do its no looking back just hang on in there and you will see what I mean, if you have used a Blackberry before its fairly similar in workings just a bit slicker in operation and a lot more extras. Simple little tricks for easy fast sending of emails and text, rapid access to the phone...
