Bad Points: Too many

General comments: This review is for a LE32R87BDX.
Picture is brilliant, sound not so brilliant.
I bought this on 10.02.08. I find it unnecessarily complicated. It is more complicate than my PC!
For example there are SO many variations for picture quality like Dynamic, Standard and Movie.
And every setting has too many variables.
But worst of all I plugged this into my PC to use the TV as a monitor and got no picture as the screen setting on the PC was NOT recognised by the TV. So I had to ajust the PC screen setting to one that the TV needed and the picture was never right either it was S T R E T C H E D or squashed. This may not seem important but I was playing a DVD movie through the computer. I have now ha to go out and buy a separate DVD player! Not what I intende.

The remote is cluttered and confusing. My DVR HDD is much, much less complicated and easier to use. I just want a TELLY!!
The manual (all in english) is 60 pages!! For a telly!!?? 'nough said. It you have lotsa spare time like the rest of your life, you may eventually understand the manual.

But the picture is nice!

I am not overly impressed with the Samsung LE32R87BDXEU TV at all. The Picture quality is good but it is let down by the poor sound quality.

After 6 weeks our 32 inch LCD Samsung blew up and nearly caused a fire. Dixons Online didn't want to know and Samsung booked an engineer to come and do a repair. My living room was full of black smoke within 30 seconds. It nearly caused a fire. It appears that some of the earlier models (Pre July 2007) have old power boards that experience problems shutting of. Beware, some just explode like mine. NEVER LEAVE THE ROOM WITH TV LEFT ON. THESE ARE FIRE HAZARDS. EXPECT A SAMSUNG PRODUCT RECALL.

I would definitely recommend this Samsung TV, it has got enough room for 3 x HDMI connections, 2 x SCART connections and various others. Shiny black finish. The colours displayed on screen are excellent.
