Good Points: Cheap.
Bad Points: High number of defective boards. Poor Customer Support. Rude RMA group.
General comments: This ECS Motherboard was in service for over 6 months then it failed. It took almost two weeks of back & forth emails to get an RMA. Then a month before the RMA Department wrote back saying that they would not honor their warranty because it appeared there was 'CPU pin damage'.
This Motherboard had never been touched since setup. Also, during that time the CPU was never touched, or tampered with in any manner. The system case was never opened until AFTER the motherboard failed. And then at the direction of ECS tech support only. Any 'Pin Damage' must have occurred after failure and was either caused in transit or at the ECS end. In either case, any 'pin damage' occurred AFTER the ECS technical support group determined the board to be defective and requested it sent to their RMA department in Florida.
The RMA department does not return email I've sent 3 and the ECS Support group in the SF Bay area said they sent one too. They say if I send them off $25 they'll send out a refurb. Yeah, Right!
