The site is nicely laid out, easy to use. Traffic seems to be the big problem, I would not expect barn busting sales if your going to try it. However, considering the low cost to keep items listed on ebid it is definitely attractive considering the high fees charged by ebay. I keep deleting ebid items which sold on ebay even though I have listed slightly at a lower price on ebid. In approx 2 months on ebid I haven't experienced a single sale. I didn't opt for the site upgrade as I simply wished to test ebid's performance. I would like to see a search feature that selected past sales and current items with bids. Nice platform, good payment options, ability to import items from ebay are all positives. If the traffic was better and with some additional features I would raise my review assessment.

A very well designed site, and far cheaper than the exorbitant charges you get lumbered with using ebay (believe me - I know!). However, I don't seem to sell anything on ebid, but I still sell the same items on ebay. If no-one buys it's a pointless excercise. Friends Reunited got noticed after appearing on Steve Wright's Radio show, being featured as the 'website of the day'. It made them - it's as simple as that. No site can sit back and expect people to find it using a search engine. Ebid badly needs to be promoted and got into the news in a similar way as Friends Reunited was, then it could offer ebay the competition it needs in order to bring seller costs down. It's still early days for me on ebid, but I certainly wouldn't stump up the money for life membership based on my experience so far. Listing is free, but without sales, so what?

I signed up with ebid to sell some things-no traffic.
I also tried to contact ebid but can't find an email address anywhere on the site.
I find the ebid web site is not user friendly.
Make sure you have plenty of time available if you want to sell things.

eBid is getting stronger more viewing and getting more hits on search. Maybe slow but worth listing at a cost of 0. I have a gay website and find it worth while listing on ebid.
