Good Points: Cheapest silver washer available at time of purchase. (dec 06)Handwash setting is good

Bad Points: Long wash cycles, Unreliable machine, Poor customer services,

General comments: The Beko WMA520S is poorly made, concrete has come away from bottom TWICE! Declared unsafe by comet within 6 months and had to be replaced. Now 2 and half years old, out of warranty having to look into purchasing new machine as not going to be worth attempting repair if the whole of the insides need to be replaced, as the bolts that snapped away are still stuck in the outer drum and there is no way to get them out!! Although the washer is still sort of working, it bounces around the kitchen!

I bought one of these Beko WMA520S for my daughter (single woman mid twenties) who used it once a week. In the first day the paddles sheared on first wash, reported to BEKO service who fixed it after 3 weeks!

Over the last 2 years it has jumped around the kitchen, reported again but they were not interested unless I agreed to pay a callout fee!
Now bolts have sheared and the concrete ballast has dropped off the drum (surprise surprise, see other reviews).

Now in negotiations with Currys over ...

I am now faced with having to purchase a new washing machine as my Beko WMA520S balance weight has fallen off after the bolts holding it sheared off. This is unacceptable on a 2 year old machine that is only used 3 times a week for domestic use, i have complained to Beko but wont hold my breath.

I bought a Silver coloured Beko washing machine on 9.9.06 It is a WMA520S. Today I discovered that the concrete ballast weight attached to the bottom of the drum has fallen off because both bolts have completely sheared in half. Because the bolts have sheared any repair would be uneconomic as the drum would need to be replaced involving dismantling most of the machine. I consider that this is a design fault and that these bolts should not have sheared at all in a machine of only 2 years old. The ...

Reported the noise to Beko after 4 months. The bolts have sheared off hence the concrete falling out, and I am being told this machine is repairable. I do not want a 4 month old machine repaired - just a refund for selling me a piece of defective junk.
Still in negotiations with the store.

Bought Beko washing machine from Currys at Crown Point Retail Park in Leeds. Delivered 24/5/07. Used for one week. Then i went on holiday for two and a half weeks. Used washing machine on return. Wash paddles fell off in the middle of cycle. 11/7/07 started jumping around the kitchen dangerously and dramatically. Shut itself off. Motor died. Reported problem to Beko alas rude and unhelpful. Could not get anywhere with Beko so phoned Currys. Also unhelpful and evasive. Waited one week helpful eng ...
