“Great until it breaks - unreliable product.”

Initially cut ironing time in half. Just under 12 months later steamer stopped working. Under warranty and replaced faulty part. Just under 12 months later (and out of warranty) - same issue. I will not buy another one - they are too expensive for a very limited shelf life. (read more)

apart from the brown stuff that spits out all over your nice white shirts and the fact that the wire to the iron has open circuited causing the iron not to heat up its a lot to pay for an item that doesn't last long and cost you more in re-washing clothes that have been ruined by the brown stuff (read more)

I have exactly the same problem. I too keep having to re-wash the clothes because of those brown marks.

I bought this Tefal Steam generator 12 months and 3 weeks before it started clicking instead of steaming, then packed up entirely- Difficult to actually speak to anyone at Tefal/Werl. Been quoted £105 to repair. Expensive ironing!!!! (read more)

This equipment GV 7150 Ironing steamer purchased in July 2008. Great strokes, but does not automatically onytkalken. TEFAL OF SERVICE IS VERY BAD! 6 weeks are machine back to the store because it came out brown mess. Complaint was known to BCC. First tried to steam clean, but that did not. In consultation with Tefal Tefal sent to. This is a machine with descaling AUTOMATIC reporter. Can only ordinary water. You can do nothing wrong. I could not believe some of the previous reviews, they must have been unlucky and got a duff one as giving it less than 5 stars seems unreal!

This is a Fantastic Iron, I love it! It's cut my ironing time down by more than half! Its easy to use and easy to clean out! I thought it was soooo good I recommended it to my mum who bought one and she also thinks its fantastic! Probably the best thing I bought last year!

The Tefal GV7150 is excellent while it worked but lasted just 12 months and 2 weeks. Poor design of cord entry at the iron means the wire breaks due to continual flexing movement. This makes it an expensive option for a years worth of ironing. Would not recommend or purchase again. (read more)

It's ignorant to say ignore someone else's review. You only need to look through thousands of reviews of Tefal steam generators on the internet to see that they have a number of serious faults. We have experienced two of these faults - the spitting out of brown liquid which apparently happens with certain types of tap water, and the failure of the pump. Both in an iron that's only used once a week, for two peoples' clothes. We have had it repaired but when it packs up again we will but a Rowenta or a Bosch Pro.
