My partner bought the 5G after trying other companies ones [simba ect] and its fantastic ❤️. I have a broken back at the moment waiting for a fusion operation. And it's fantastic for my bsck. So I've just bought one for myself. Looking forward to it arriving next week. Best nights sleep I've had for over a year. Supports me where I need it most. And it plumps back up as soon as you get off it. There's no roll together or dips. Side are as good as the middle. Best mattress you will ever buy Thank you ergoflex

Just purchase Ergoflex Mattress, from ordering to the delivery I was kept fully informed of the process. Arrived as stated in a box, easy to unroll and position on the bed. I have a few aches and pains after a nights sleep I felt refresh with no aches and pains. This is my first Ergoflex Mattress and I know it will not be the last. Many thanks to all Ergoflex team.

I would like to say a big thank you to the person I dealt with who works in Sales and Logistics Team at Ergoflex. There were issues in relation to my delivery from UPS (no fault of Ergoflex) and they were not going to deliver my mattress on the day of delivery. I was so worried and upset as I thought I might not have a mattress to sleep on that night. I called Ergoflex and spoke to a lady who contacted UPS and kept a track of issue. She called me prior to finishing work for the day and called me the next day morning to check check whether UPS had done as she asked. She was absolutely professional and totally understanding. Even though I was grumpy initially with her when I thought UPS couldn't deliver. I just want to give a special thank you to the person I dealt with and her professionalism. My mattress is exactly as expected. Comfy and the best nights sleep in ages. Thank you Ergoflex and thank you to the person I dealt with :) Would most definitely recommend this supplier.

Our new ergoflex mattress is wonderful. It only took 2 days to arrive up here in Inverness which was excellent. The mattress is much better than any of our previous expensive pocket spring mattress which have all sagged or arched in the middle! The comfort and support is excellent so you sleep much better without tossing and turning. It is a substantial mattress so needs two people to lift properly. We think that at the special promotion price it really is a bargain! It is recommended without hesitation.

“Poor Mattress ”

written by 290Slaughter on 18/06/2019

Mattress split down the middle and their suggestion is its the slats, a total waste of time basically they hide behind T&C'S poor service. Offered a replacement for another £360 however I have purchased 2 mattresses and pillows from them with no issue and the one issue I have they ignore. The Support clearly looks for ways not to pay so its unhelpful, poor quality mattress, poor resolution, uncomfy mattress UK. I understand T&C'S exist for companies but my opinion is this is poor

Ergoflex_Customer_Support's Comment

Dear Mr Hobson,
I’m sorry that we are unable to provide you with a free-of-charge replacement mattress in this scenario. As discussed, we believe the damage has been caused by the mattress being used on a bed base that we specifically advise against. In this case the slats on the base you have been using, as documented in the photos you have kindly provided, are 14cm/5.5” apart. This is nearly double the recommended maximum gap for this type of mattress, as it simply cannot provide the supportive surface required to avoid this issue occurring. Our guidance information for appropriate bed bases is available across the Ergoflex website (FAQs, Guarantee, T&C) as well as the installation booklet that comes with the mattress itself. Unsuitable bed bases, like the one you have been using, are referenced as potentially voiding the warranty, as we are aware it can lead to issues such as the one you have experienced. We understand and deeply regret that this isn’t the resolution you were hoping for, and we’re extremely disappointed when a customer has anything less than a positive experience with our products and customer service. However, as a company we are not able to honour a warranty claim that has arisen not from material or workmanship failure, but misuse of the mattress against our clear advice.

Sounds like the 'support' I received.
I was sent a list of tasks I had to complete so I could send photos of the mattress in various positions.
The mattress on one side, the other then off the base, standing it on one side then the other. With the cover on then with the cover off. As the mattress has no handles this is an almost impossible task, even for a fit and healthy 30 Yr old (son in law) and absolutely impossible for a 75 Yr old. (Me) I had to pay someone to take it up the stairs when I bought it and have had to get someone in to rotate it on a regular basis. The pre sales advertising doesn't mention any of this.
It seems that the guarantee is a nit-picking document that has a get out clause that covers everything except the fact that becomes extremely uncomfortable after a few years. Pity Monty Python are no longer viable- they could have made a brilliant sketch on the guarantee- a contractual agreement originally designed to protect the customer but in the case of Ergoflex used as a shield to deflect any proper customer service.

Purchased mattress from ergoflex, tried for 20 days on the trial. Found it to be unsuitable for us. Very hot, uncomftable through night. Requested a return. Took So long to be collected, as they do not collect from you, they use different collection methods, then had to wait for refund. After a number of calls and emails to ergo flex. Customer service was ok. Finally got it sorted out Would not recommend or use again.

Heard lots of good reviews about the ergo flex. Bought a super king and it’s been a pleasant surprise. No hot spots like other memory foams nice n firm mattress and a week in ice had good sleep throughout. The mattress is heavy in super king so be mindful when moving it. Deliver and customer care has been excellent. Well recommended

“Very hot nights sleep, and fitted sheet doesn't stay on ”

★★☆☆☆

written by jadeh737 on 29/12/2017

I purchased this mattress back in May 2017 as a cheaper alternative to a Tempur. My initial impressions were that the mattress is very comfortable, and I decided to keep the mattress instead of returning it at the end of the trial period. It hadn't really occurred to me at this point that this mattress was causing both myself and my partner to get extremely hot in the night. We just put it down to the Summer approaching. It's only when we started to read up on it and with winter now in full swing, that we have realised that it is totally down to the mattress. There is no ventilation for your body to breathe, and even now in December, I sometimes find my partner dripping with sweat during the night, even with the heating switched off. Another major nuisance with this mattress is that the fitted sheet does not stay tight. It ruffles together and results in us having to pull it back to the edges every morning when we make the bed. Overall, I would not recommend this mattress. If you are looking for memory foam, try a good quality pocket sprung mattress with a top layer of memory foam. This was your body can actually breathe. I have had numerous conversations with the customer service team at Ergoflex, however it doesn't seem that I am able to return this mattress. A total waste of money, my advice is that if you really want a mattress like this one, then try their competetor 'Simba', who offer a 100 night trial instead of just the 30 nights that Ergoflex offer.

We have had our mattress for almost 2 weeks and cant praise it enough. We have never had a memory foam one before so were sceptical at first. We have such a good nights sleep I now have to wake the wife for work even after the alarm has sounded! It supports the whole of your body and does not let you get overheated. Ours arrived in the middle of Mays hot spell. I would recommend to anyone needing a new mattress.

I have been looking for a mattress for a while have looked at all the reviews from most of the mattress companies and after reading the reviews I came to the conclusion that Ergoflex Memory Foam Mattress was the one I was going for I suffer with back problems after having an accident and have peripheral nerve damage and have damage to the lower vertebrae in my back . From the first night I have had vast improvement in sleep as the mattress prevents me from moving around so much therefore I am not waking up in so much pain. I strongly recommend this product as it is good value for money too.

written by KaylinSmith on 26/04/2017

I previously owned a SuperKing size ErgoFlex matress which gave 5 years of trouble free use and amazing comfort. However, due to a house move I had to sadly say goodbye to it. So, now I'm buying another, albeit a double this time due to the bedroom being smaller. I've tested Tempur, Simba and Ergoflex for this replacement and ErgoFlex still is on top with performance and cost. I would buy another if I had the room.

Excellent mattress. I’m a professional rugby player and I treat sleep as seriously as any other part of my training, especially after a game. As a pro rugby player we go through a lot during matches, and I can’t stress the importance of having a solid night’s sleep at the end of the day to help recuperate. The Ergoflex is unbelievably comfortable and supportive, giving support especially to the lower back and hips, places where niggling pains and injuries can often irritate. Since sleeping on the Ergoflex I’ve found I’m waking up feeling well-rested with fewer aches and pains a real motivation - the missus loves it too. Recommended.

I don't usually sleep for more than about 5 hours straight before waking up with backache, but this new Ergoflex 5G is something special - it's medium-firm and perfectly adapts to body shape and position. I'm now going to have to start setting my alarm clock as I'm sleeping through 'til 8am... Happy days!

Not at all if you push it with yr hand you think I'm going sink in this but it's actually firm supportive without the heavy feeling of that when you lie on it. It's like non memory foam in that respect. No pain no sinking feeling. Put it this way I got 1 due to back pain which is getting better apart from well, after thunder and lightening my 9 yr old ended up in my bed and slept more than she usually does. I ended up on the floor that night !! I'm now thinking of getting her one.

“Great For Recovery”

★★★★★

written by JamesHaskell on 26/11/2016

Great mattress. Provides perfect support whilst being exceptionally comfortable and has made a huge improvement to the way my back feels in the morning. As a professional rugby player we put our bodies under extreme stress and exertion to ensure we deliver on the pitch for both club and country. I can say with confidence that the Ergoflex mattress has made a difference in the quality of sleep I now experience and has been a real corner stone in my recovery. I feel far better rested each morning and it shows in my rehab sessions as I feel more energised and alert even after the toughest of sessions. I am currently recovering from injury meaning that I am working and training twice as hard as normal to get back to full fitness I am more than happy to recommend the Ergoflex mattress to all, whether you are training towards certain goals or simply want to experience better sleep. It is truly an awesome product.

Having suffered from an aching back since having an operation 24 years ago, I have found the Ergoflex memory foam mattress to be the only mattress to ease the problem and certainly not make it worse. An ergoflex mattress is not cheap but, in my opinion, worth the investment for an improved night's sleep. The mattress is medium firm but the memory foam moulds to your body shape giving extra support thereby creating a "firmer" feel. Hope this helps

They are very good mattresses, but I wouldn't say they have that sinking feeling you are looking for. That said, I use another sheet on top of the mattress cover so that makes it less "sinky". Not overly firm, but enough to give good back support. I haven't tried other brands to compare against, this was my first memory foam type. Had it about seven years now, and will probably replace it with the same when the time comes.

Report this content Lasnier Written on: 06/12/2014
Ergoflex mattresses are really good for that, we find. Some memory foam mattresses are worse than others in that respect, e.g. some Tempur mattresses (especially older models) - you sink, you simply can't turn over easily; it's almost like smothering, so you can get really hot. I bought an Ergoflex mattress for my mum, who lives in the South of France, is slightly plump, and is continuously hot (think about someone who opens windows in the office in winter!), and she's delighted with it - not feeling hot at all. When we use it when we visit (in the summer), we find that it's excellent too: its surface resilience means that it gives enough support without you sinking into it and heating up! (And the Cool-Sleep Airflow System probably helps too.) If you have an existing memory foam mattress in which you feel hot, it could be because of its foam density, or its age (they will eventually sag), or its incompatibility with your own size/weight (just a fact - I'm not judging). The solution there could be a cotton protector, which will help to make you sink less anyway, but it's much better to go for a special cover like Coolmax or Outlast (I've used both and find Outlast definitively more effective). Combine cotton and Outlast if necessary, but remember that the more stiff stuff (e.g. cotton protector) between you and the mattress also means that the "memory" effect will take longer to work, since it works with your body heat too!

I don't think it is hot for me but each person is different. The warmth helps with poor blood circulation in my back as my lower back is always cold. My partner however finds it a bit warm sometimes though we both agree it is perfect in the winter. We use only a 10 tog duvet by the way. Don't think we need moore. In the summer we use only a thin blanket to and we always use a mattress protector as mentioned elsewhere here. Hope that helps.

I can't comment on Tempur mattresses but have been totally happy with the Ergoflex we purchased. My advice would be to go a shop and try them out - it is a very individual choice. I would say the Ergoflex is definitely medium to firm as described - there is no body imprint when you get up. Hope this helps.

We purchased Ergoflex mattress 1,5 years ago. The decission was based on very good- almost too fabulous to believe - reviews. We have found out that the mattress is not very special in any way. We had to buy very expensive topper(not from the same company) to make it suitable for us. I really believe that the success is based on really clever marketing more than on the product itself.
Report this content missfire Written on: 22/07/2014
I can't comment on Tempur either. However I will say that my Ergoflex is the most comfy bed and pillows I have ever had and the service when purchasing was absolutely brilliant. The only problem I have had with the mattress is that when I went to flip it (I know you don't have to but I did) I noticed a big patch of mould on the mattress. Initially Ergoflex were great and answered my emails about it but after requesting photos (which I sent early January 14) I never heard back from Ergoflex - which is massively dissappointing. My house is a normal terraced property which was fully gutted and renovated 3 years ago prior to purchase of the bed, along with double glazing put and insulation (again proof provided to company) and I sleep all weathers with a bit of window open. Apparently, I am not alone in this but its also not that common. Gutted is the best way to describe. So review is amazing product however if you have a problem you are on your own.

Good value for money provided you buy at the right time (discounts vary). I agree with other reviewers that Ergoflex mattresses are on the firm side of memory foam but I have found that it works for me. Obviously the best option is to try before buying and here Tempur wins. But for that and for their advertising budget you pay a very hefty price indeed.

We like yourself considered a Tempur mattress, but after reading all the great reviews about Ergoflex we decided to buy one. We have never regretted this decision. After two years the mattress is still as good as when we first purchased it, and backache in a morning is a thing of the past.

Like others I cannot comment on the Tempur mattress. However I have bought 3 Ergoflex mattresses over the last 7/8 years and they have been a revelation. I really do not have a bad word to say about them, I would buy with confidence and I would have no hesitation in buying another and I wouldn't even look at alternatives. My parents stayed over a few times and they have a Tempur mattress at home and my mum swears that the Ergoflex she sleeps on at mine is cooler to sleep on than the Tempur, that's the only insight I would offer you. I can't believe you could do better than the Ergoflex though.

I had back problems especially after sleeping. I bought an Ergoflex on a friends recommendation and have had no back problems since. I've since had 3 shoulder operations and get all the support I need. My son bought an Ergoflex mattress and I bought my daughter one. We all love them. My wife also uses the pillow. I bought a Tempur pillow before we got Ergoflex and the Ergoflex pillow is just as good. I haven't tried a Tempur so cannot comment however, based on price and comfort, I wouldn't change from an Ergoflex. As already stated in other reviews choosing a mattress is personal so if you can, try a Tempur, otherwise, take the plunge and buy the Ergoflex and save yourself a load of money.

I've owned 2 Tempur mattresses as well as a couple of Ergoflex. I slept really good on both of them. I've been very happy with my Ergoflex and I see no reason to pay more money for the Tempur. But try them both out and see if you can tell the difference. I couldn't justify the price difference.

Hi I would recommend ERGOFLEX. I currently have one having bought it to replace a Tempur mattress that I could not get on with ( had it a couple of months). I get the most comfort from this mattress over any other. I suffer from back & leg pain due to having had 2 discs removed and a spinal fusion. I found that I could not turn over on the Tempur and it did not provide comfortable support for my back. ERGOFLEX for me is far superior. Good luck

Although I am very pleased with the Ergoflex mattress I bought about a year ago, in retrospect I wish I had saved up and gone for the Tempur as I have never seen a bad review and friends who have got one rave about the quality. If you can get a shop display Tempur mattress on eBay then go for it!

I tried Tempur, for 1 night, at my friends and it was very, very comfortable- no aches or pains even after a night out dancing. I decided to buy memory foam after that but didn't want to spend the 100's needed for a Tempur one. I bought a double Ergoflex memory foam mattress and love it. I have good sleep and wake up feeling refreshed. I bought one for my daughter. My bloke bought one too, after trying mine. I have a single in the spare room for appreciative guests. Yep, I can recommend Ergoflex as being good value and helping relaxed sleep. After 3 years there are signs of wear as it has lost some of the initial firmness but I remain satisfied. I feel the difference after sleeping on normal mattresses when I wake up with aching shoulder and hip joints. N.B. It does need a good old airing before use and a supportive base, with small gaps if slatted.

Buy Ergoflex - you really won't be disappointed, and they are really excellent value; but if you are disappointed, or if there's a problem, you can return it within 14 days - look for "Returns".

I've had a night on a tempur and now the happy owner of an ergoflex, since 2011. I would say the tempur is best but with regards to finances I went for ergoflex which enables a great night sleep for me. I would recommend it for anyone on a budget. But, like one answer states, it is a personal thing, so trial first.
