I would give the Oasys Zero stars if I could (it wouldn't let me). Had major problems with the Oasys lenses including blurred vision and couldn't read text up close. Wore them for over a year. Recently switched to Avaira and all my problems are gone. Very crisp vision including perfect near vision. If you have any issues with blurred vision using Oasys, give Avaira a try...so very glad I did!

I have worn lenses for twenty years - I was advised to switch to Acuvue Oasys to allow more oxygen into the eyes. After a couple of weeks my vision was starting to appear slightly blurred and it made me frown and struggle to get crisp vision.

After this, my eyes developed loads of protein and then the real discomfort started. This went on for months - sticky eyes, redness, sore, itchy. I started reading reviews on the material used in these lenses and I have put my problems down to an allergic ...

I've been wearing Acuvue Oasys for the past 4 years having previously worn Acuvue Advance. I prefer Acuvue for the fit as most other contact lenses are too small and not flat enough for my eyes. Plus I wear them for up to 10 hours a day 4 or 5 days a week using a computer so I needed them to stay moist and comfortable. The vision is clear and the comfort is high even after 8 hours. The only thing I notice is even after careful cleaning and soaking the lenses get areas that when worn seem like a ...

I have worn acuvue 2 lenses for as long as I can remember -- 10, 15 years? -- but a new optometrist said I was showing signs of vein intrusion into the cornea due to lack of oxygenation and switched me to Oasys. The trial lenses seemed ok for a few days, then something gradually switched and I began to feel as if I just couldn't see, not focusing well on anything, the vision gettingh worse and worse; I also started to see haloes around lights. My theory is that I may be allergic to silicon, as ...

I wore the original Acuvue lenses for almost 20 years day and night (new pair each week) and never had any problems. I wasn't planning to switch but J&J stopped manufacturing them, so I switched to Acuvue Oasys. Frankly I hardly notice any difference -- they're just as comfortable and I see just as well. In view of the fact that they allow 5 to 7 times more oxygen to reach the eye, I'm glad I made the switch.

These lenses are, for me, energy-intensive to use, for reasons above. They are the only ones tried (of 6) that gave me really sharp distance focus. If I find another lens that also gives me sharp distance focus, I'd switch.

Great feeling lens but after a week of wearing them, I was unable to focus while looking at my computer screen or any other text. I do not wear reading glasses, so I know that is not the issue. I switched back to Acvue Hydroclear and the focus issue went away.

I got one box (6 lenses) of the Oasys and every single lens I put in felt like there was grit or dust or something on them when I put them in. Sometimes it was the left one and sometimes the right one. I would take the offending lens out and clean it multiple times to no avail. Within a few weeks or so, I had run through the whole box switching out the bad contact for another until there were none left. I wondered if perhaps they had tiny cracks or tears in them. There was not a single lens ...

My optometrist switched me from Acuvue 2 to Oasys about a year ago. They were less dry especially in the morning after sleeping in them. Although thinking back, I don't thing my vision was as good with them.
On my latest exam I went up 0.25 on my prescription. Even in the exam room, I didn't see very well with them in. I just thought my eyes were tired. When I got to work, I noticed my vision was blurry reading labels and text. The letters just seemed to run together. This was especially i ...

My optician changed me to these without me knowing from o2 optix (they're more expensive apparently) which I could wear for a month and all day. Apparently these are fine for a month but they rarely last that long. I'm changing lenses and optician!

I've worn contacts for 20+ years. I tried acuvue oasys and had real difficulty removing them - it was as if they were suctioned to my eye. Drops did not help. I found them to be very comfortable, but after 40 minutes of trying to remove one lens, I'm going back to my old lenses.

I wish I could stick with these lenses, as they were the most comfortable and effective I've used.

Only changed because my original lenses were not available because of a manufacturing fault,,think it was a ploy to get me to upgrade.

The first 6 months were fine, and though they weren't any more comfortable than acuvue2, the optician said they were safer so i continued with them. im on month 8 now and will definitely be changing back to my old kind. they tear very easily, become misshapen and they rarely last the full 2weeks. i have gone through 2 pairs in the last week alone.

I've worn Acuvue Oasys for over a year and at first thought they were great b/c they didn't dry out or feel uncomfortable, but after about 6 months, I started to get rips in them and thought it was just me as I rub my eyes a lot. I have very sensitive eyes so I didn't pay attention to some of the problems I've just recently read b/c I thought it was just me and I never thought to look up reviews until it's become so bad and now, in hindsight, a lot of the issues I had are issues that have been ...

I used Acuvue 2 for years before I tried Acuvue Oasys, and now I'm switching back. Oasys lenses are significantly more expensive, but not that much more comfortable and didn't last any longer. They sometimes became strangely warped if I left them in solution for more than a day or left them in a case while traveling, so that my vision would be blurry for an hour or so while their shape readjusted. This happened even with new lenses and with a variety of solutions and cases.
