I have recently bought HPI savage 25 but put an HPI 4.6 engine. It is a monster ir crushes evrything right fast and put BIG tyres which make it almost impossible for it to tip over whislt turning, i would really recomend it since it is the ONLY HPI savage truck with metal shazi and support parts! overall it is fast, storng and the best off-roader ever! I find that heavier alum clutch shoes also improve the smoothness of accelaration and lasted a lot longer than others. Its a great price and easy to start holds good temp and iam using this engine in my lightning stadium. I broke the engine in with 20% fuel as the manual said and found that the performance was rubbish and always hard to keep tuned so changed fuel to 25% wow keep tune easy and performance improved loads (read more)

very good truck my HPI Savage 25 and with a nosram 28 there is 1000000000000000000000000000x more speed and more relibity. overall it is like an Alfa Romeo, exellant but not reliable. you might get stopped by the police a few time if you drive it through town so my advice is dont. (read more)

I'm very rough with it and there is always some thing small that brakes. There is always something I can do to the HPI savage 25 to improve it. I can repair it very easily and its easy to work with. The price of this remote control car is really good as well. (read more)

Right, well, where to start. Over a year ago me and a friend both bought HPI 25 Savage's and since then there's been the savage SS and savage X and savage 4.6 etc, The HPI Savage 25 is near the bottom of the range but you can fully upgrade and modify EVERY part and i mean EVERY!

I guess the main thing is its durability as most people buy an RC truck for jumps and fast off-roading and this has to be the most durable truck available. You can do 10 foot jumps and land on concrete upside down... (read more)
