    Good Points: Staff were wonderful. Boat was lovely. Food was good.


    Bad Points: Quite a few of the passengers came down with 'a tummy bug' during the week as did myself and husband on the last night. Whether anything on the boat was to blame I don't know but it is a risk you take when you visit Egypt!


    General comments: The boat was lovely and the staff were wonderful. The cabin we had was on the middle deck, it was quite small but very nice. We were only bothered by engine noise one night when berthed next to a boat which had a very loud generator going all night. The food was good, plenty of choice and the sweets were wonderful. Marco, our guide was great and certainly helped to make the trips to the tombs and temples interesting. He was very well informed and certainly knew his stuff. We had a lovely first week of the holiday - unfortunately the second week was ruined by illness but that was no-one's fault.

    A most enjoyable 7-night cruise on MS Sun Ray with Egyptian Wonders, visiting the many temples and sights in Aswan and on the Nile. Cruising by day was delightful. Large, well-equipped cabins, very well-organised tours, well-appointed ship.

    Very loud engine noise, especially when ship is sailing overnight
    During the night, noise of idling engine and docking ships.

    If you book this ship you wont' be disappointed. Although you can get cheap bargains on other ships you definitely get what you pay for in Egypt. After seeing the others ships I would be extremely reluctant to cruise the Nile with anyone else. Hope to return in 2008/9 (we went in 2006).

    What a fantastic trip! The staff were brilliant, the guides were great and extremely knowledgeable. Food was lovely... cabin was spacious and clean - cannot fault the entire trip.

    We had a fantastic trip on the MS Sun Ray all in all. Right from the Egyptian Wonders staff who took the reservation, through to the reception at the airport and then onto the boat. The excursions were stunning and awe inspiring. Our cruise included all the excursions except Abu Simbel, which was an optional extra. We chose not to do it this time but will certainly do it again next time.
