i had the Yamaha 1997 DT50 mx, it was totally standard and flat out i had bout 75-80. it would ride at 60 all day with no problem. i never had a problem with it, until i forget to check the oil one day and rode it dry, cracked my piston but it only cost me £15 for a new one and it ran like new after that. Id recommend a DT to anybody. I'm looking at a DT125 now :)

    Brilliant bike, cant go wrong!!

It is such good value for money becuase I have had mine for 4 years and I have only had to change the spark plug, nothing else has ever gone wrong.

My Yamaha DT50 has only covered 3500 miles but has not let me down once its started first time every time and taken me everywhere I've wanted to go with no problems, since I have had it I've only changed the gear oil.I'm 6' 6" and weigh 17 stone and have not de-restricted it all looks standard but it will take me up to 45-50 M.P.H. on a flat road with no problem.
