What a shame, I gave the Peugeot 4007 2.2 HDi GT a glowing review at 24,000 miles but by 39,000 it needed a new clutch at a staggering £1,305 fitted. The clutch was only under warranty for 20,000 miles, a sure sign that Peugoeut knew it was weak. They agreed to pay 25%; I think it should still be fully covered.

I towed a trailer (250kg gross) only 3 or 4 times on a 7 mile round trip. The majority of its life is on the motorway or A roads.

I never 'ride the clutch' and never had to replace one before in 30 years of driving. WATCH OUT THE CLUTCH IS WEAK & IS NOT UP TO THE JOB OF TRANSFERRING THE TORQUE THE ENGINE DELIVERS.

Where was this car when I wasted £20k on a new X-Trail in 2004. Worst reliability car in my whole driving career and that includes my 1974 Vauxhall Viva!
The 4007 was an ex-demonstrator from Fussell-Wadman of Devizes, its been great so far and Fussell-Wadman have been equally great in getting service work done promptly and well.
The car has 24,000 miles on it now and so far no concerns of note.

Design (in comparison with dull Outlander and c-crosser),
Nice interior (Leather seats/ steering - Premium packet)
    3rd row (2 add seats)
Adequate engine benzene 2.4 +CVT (moderate fuel consumption)
Adequate driving impressions (in comparison with tested C-RV and X-trail)
All possible extras available in Premium Pack (Exclusive)
Made a test-drive 2.4 CVT and decided to be one of the first owners in my country.
Still a head mover in the streets!
