Potterton Promax 15/2 HE PlusMy boiler (model above) is just under 13 months old and won't light. Squeaking, clicking and explosive ignition, then locks out and needs reset. Fortunately I have the additional 3 months "free" warranty that was offered if I registered.Their info says to call my installer before contacting them, so I did. Called him on Tuesday evening and he came Wednesday evening. It is a problem with the boiler so I called Potterton on Thursday at about 08:45. Gosh what a bright, ...

Potteron ProMax HE 30. Boiler installed April 2007. First Failure June 2008. Forced to pay GBP 200 call out to replace a faulty electronic component which failed again 3 months later. Response from Baxi "we can offer a 20% discount on a new boiler if you order one today.

Incredibly poor customer service from the recommended installer from Baxi and from Domestic and General with whom we have taken out a annual maintenace.

The thing is noisy and erratic. Should have kept the one that we had bef ...

We installed it on the basis of having had four reliable Potterton boilers previously, so how can a competent company like this now turn out such trash? It failed six months after installation, then again after fifteen months, we have since spent in the order of £500 on it and it still doesn't work at all: permanent lock out. The new boiler was only £800! As for the service how can they justify £299 for a call out when it could only be a loose wire: arrogance beyond belie ...

We had british gas fit a Baxi Potterton promax boiler last year,it worked ok for about 6 months then the boiler would fire and stop after a few seconds, because we had a service contract with british gas they replaced circuit boards on 4 separate occasions and it still didn't work, they then sent potterton engineers around to try and solve the problem, they were as poor as british gas engineers, eventually every part of the boiler was replaced over a two month period and its working ok now. To sum i ...

Had a Baxi fitted it makes loads of noise when firing up and sounds like a plane when running, I have had baxi engineers out 6 times they have changed every part but still they can't fix it .They also kept me waiting weeks then phone up to cancel your engineer visit on the day you took of work which they have now done twice in a row.

We had a Baxi Potterton Promax System He Boiler fitted to our utility room last December. We are still trying to get the problems resolved with this totally useless boiler. We are now having to pay to have ours moved as Baxi/Potterton after sales service is atrocious ! They just don't want to know anything about problems and are a nightmare to deal with.We have had 4 Baxi boilers to date and never had a problem but the current system boilers are like the customer service, Just not up to the job ...

Since installation of our Baxi Potterton in sept 2007 an engineer has had to be called out on 7 occassions. The boiler is unreliable and continuously fails to start up. British gas & Potterton seem incapable of solving the problem. Customer service from both companies is poor.

I installed 7 Promax HE150i boilers and 1 Promax HE115i in December 2007. Since installation 5 of the HE150i's have required replacement PCB boards.
As for the HE115i, I am once again waiting for Potterton's engineer to arrive, his fifth call since installation.

Our Promax HE boiler has repeatedly failed due to PCB problems. Trying to get an engineer in has been a nightmare on every occasion. I would never use them, or their products, again.
