Compared with other color printers in its range the Canon LBP-5000 price was good, the print quality is superb and my clients are very satisfied. Setup is a breeze.

However, after about a 1000 pages of printouts some of the cartridges are leaking toner. I don't know if this is normal but I guess I have to replace those offending toners. I expected to print about 2000 pages before any sign of deterioration.

It was my first color laser printer and I am a very happy customer. It is fussy about paper quality but that is okay. It just sits waiting till I give a print command and delivers quality prints.I would recommend it to anyone shopping for an affordable yet outstanding color printer.

The Canon LBP-5000 has good quality print, cheap for a color laser, seems rugged and the paper feed looks like it will never jam.
Overall I would recommend this in a small office if you don't want to use it with Apple's Time Capsule (it does not detect this printer).Don't expect snappy print times, but do expect quality prints. This is cheap for a colour laser

We have been lumped with an HP 1600 printer at work which came with starter toner. I have never used it as there has been no toner in it since coming back off holiday. The toner costs are 30% more than the Canon and the Canon comes with full cartridges when purchased. Compared with other printers I have used in a work enbvironment, the LPB5000 is the best quality I have seen outside of a reprograhics studio. I have it at home but it would serve a small office. However at £135 all workers ...

First purchase of a laser printer for me. Did a lot of research before purchasing and decided on Canon's LBP-5000. I have been more than impressed with the speed of print, quality and ease of use of this printer.

It also helped that Canon were offering a free set of toners with the purchase although this had to be claimed through Canon and when claimed only took a couple of weeks for delivery. Best £155 I have spent for some time.
