awful company! Repossessed my car with no default warning. said payments hadnt came out for 2 months and i said why because we had set up a new direct debit with a new bank and they had taken first payment. i told them there were funds to pay for it and why did they not take the money out. they said it was my responsibility to make sure the payments came out. so i said surely when i phone up and ask to set up a new direct debit the person on the phone should have followed through. they took... I have been with Moneyway for about 10 years now. I have always been rather forgetful and had a tendency to get behind with bills at times without realising it. This service is a god send. I am always paying them late and having to catch up because of one thing and another - as is always the case with children needing something different each week for school etc. I have never been treated badly by Moneyway because of my disorganised payments. As long as they get what I'm supposed to pay... (read more)

I have been with Moneyway for about 8 years. At first I couldn't fault them, service was brilliant. As someone who gets easily confuddled with paying bills on time, they were a great help.
I didn't know however that I was paying into a redundancy insurance policy until it appeared on my statement two years back. I didn't even know what I was paying to use their service. Neither item was listed.
As it happened, I did need to use the insurance policy. However, as I intended to claim income...

They are a bunch of con artists. I have been with them for 10 years and decided to pay my mortgage from August. I checked with them that my mortgage for July was already paid.. They said it was on its way and refunded the the money as that July payment was paid frin the June payment I h ad already paid. Confused? (pay your bills ahead of the time they are due). After this I expected my payment levels to be reduced to exclude my mortgage payment for August and before I could change my direct debit amount they had taken the full amount from the bank and refunded the bank and are now saying they don't owe me a refund.
I have just checked with my bank only to be told that they have now refunded that money back into my account but did not send a letter to let me know was there and at the sane time my monthly payment is now due at the reduced rate so I am now thoroughly confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once a good idea when the internet was not around, but now it's far easier to control your own finances on-line.
Expensive privilege and I have found their payment protection policy is poor,45 days before you can claim then wait another month for payment. 2 1/2 months is a long time without cover and you still need to find those payments! that's some peace of mind (NOT) Need to prove & supply more in depth details for job searching than both my mortgage & Job centre combined.
Their policy...

I have used Secure Homes for 10 years now and I can honestly say, Thank God for them!! They have been fantastic at not only keeping all of my bills in order, but in times of trouble, they have always been there to help.
If you do anything today....... give them a call, and they will give you peace of mind!!

I was told that theyre closed on 23rd Jan because staff are attending the company's Annual Conference.
I have since found out that the staff are going to Disneyland Paris for the weekend, and there is no conference!
So why are they lieing to the customers?
What else do they lie about I wonder?

Wrote to moneyway 6 months ago to give notice to close my account. Have been in regular contact since. Account close a few days ago. 1st letter i recieve is a demand for money with a sentence threatening debt collection action. I have no idea where the balance has come from as i pay regularly to them by direct debit and this has never been mentioned and no statement has been sent. This has completely changed my opinion of them and I will never recommend them to anyone. (read more)

I've been a Moneyway Onebill account holder for over 10 years, service just gets worse and worse. They stopped paying my bills as a payment had been misplaced. I had to contact all my direct debit providers and ask them to represent. Had charges from some companies which Onebill would not take responsibility for even though they admitted putting my money in wrong place. (read more)

I have used Moneyway formerly secure homes one bill account to pay my bills for the past 10 years after recently requesting a statement realised that the charges and payment protection were much more than i thought.During these difficult times we are trying to save money anywhere we can.
We decided to close the one bill account and sort it out ourselves and found that they charged us 6 MONTHS MANAGEMENT FEE TO CLOSE THE ACCOUNT.This was £110. I found this extortionate.I don't know where i...

I have been with Moneyway and have just about had enough of their mismanagement of my account over the years. They charge you a management fee and don't put the charges on your monthly statements. They don't reimburse your money if you over pay but as soon as there is a shortfall on your account they soon let you know about it! I also think they should send customers detailed monthly or annual statements just like a bank and building society,
I recently decided to pay my mortgage myself and they refunded the July payment as this was going to be paid out as the August mortgage payment (they always pay bills in advance of the due dates). However I expected to amend te direct debit for the August payment to half of what I normally pay to exclude the August mortgage payment and was surprised to find that they had called for the full amount from the bank which included the August mortgage payment (Confused?). I complained that if the July payment had already been paid by them and I was going to pay my mortgage from August, why the money was taken? I said I would be complaining to the FOS.
I have just checked with my bank today to see if they had taken the right amount for my new monthly payment level and it appeared they had not taken any money for this month so I called tbem to be told that they had refunded the mortgage money back into my account on 10 August which I do not know anything about. After phoning Moneyway they explained that the money was put back and a letter was sent but I did not get it. My new payment is now due on 1st September at the new payment level. I will certainly be keeping a closer eye on them from now on as they have caused me a lot of stress.

They never ever bothered paying my T.V Licence even though i sent them every bill as i was advised to, ended up with red letters and court threats from T.V Licence. I had to pay them myself which was costing me more money. Never explained to my satisfaction why they weren't paying it. I told them to take the t.v licence bill of my Moneyway account and they charged me £1 to do so! l also had problems with Water bill payments because of them, nearly getting me into big trouble yet again.
