I've been a time warner cable customer for a while now, and throughout my time as a customer the equipment has been substandard, and the service is terrible with multiple reboots required and the system going down. Often times you have to wade through a web of a phone tree only to find out you have to schedule a visit from a technician often several days away. I work from home and this is a terrible way to have to work. I pay for a service which seems to be down more than up. (read more)

I set up new service and cancelled it because I am moving. After four phone calls and one email to them I have no resolution on the deposit that I gave them. They all tell me that the money will be credited to my account tomorrow, in two days, should have been there yesterday. They give me confirmation numbers that not one other person in the company can do anything with - worthless. I have experienced the worst customer service from Time Warner Cable!!! I have spent HOURS on the phone with Time Warner Cable multiple times. Each time they try to sell me a more expensive package, when I just need them to fix the service that I already have. I had tech for 2 years, and one day my cable just stopped working. I had several technicians out who couldn't fix the problem, and when I called in to complain I found out they had added services to my bill without any authorization! The customer service rep I talked to promised me free service he couldn't provide when I said I wanted to cancel! Over all horrible experience with poor service!!! (read more)

If you enjoy being on hold for up to an hour while they tell you there is no prob in your area yet you have no cable and no Internet and you also like prices that do not compare to the service ( high prices crappy service) then you will most def love time Warner go direct tv 40 dollars a month with way more channels and they put the dish any where I'm about switch to them here soon screw time Warner and everybody tha stays with them because the more customers the longer they stay around (read more)

This is a company I want to walk in and go "cable" on them! Unbelievable! You call to change your service and you get the "deterrents" who transfer you to other states after being on hold for 20 plus minutes. Then you call back and start all over with the "deterrent" again. AND if you need to remove a service...FORGET IT! I have had Time Warner for a while now and I have had so many problems.. I have had to have my modem replaced 4 times because of a lagging connection. The cable channels are getting cut back so there is not much to watch anymore. The only thing that keeps me with the company is the price and the fact that where I live, I cannot have dish. I'm a little skeptical with all the one star reviews for TWC. For the most part I don't think they are much different than other TV providers. Time Service Used: The last time I used Time Warner Cable TV I used them for over 1 year. Customer Service: I'm happy with the customer service I get (I use them for broadband now), and don't remember having any issues with customer service when I had tv. Long term customer. Constant problems at two locations. Almost daily technical issues with either the picture, cable box or the connection. DVR would not record shows. Their technical service department only knows to tell us to unplug the cable box and Plug it back in. We had TWC in the past, but due to poor customer service and intermittent internet connection, we switched to another provider. Today we had a salesman from TWC come to the door to "win us back as customers". The offer sounded good enough; lower bill, more channels, some extras, even a Visa gift card. We switched to TW, roadrunner after finding out our previous ISP added unauthorized charges to our bill. This is the first time I have been in an area with only two ISP choices, gotta say, it's pretty awful. TimeWarner was easy to sign on with and came out withing 5 days, great tech, good work. Now on to the bad. The service is terribly intermittent, I play online video games and can only pick up a solid connection @2or3 AM. I have been a customer of Time Warner cable for a little while. I called to time warner about a month ago to verify the channels I supposed to have. What did I find in my bill this month? A charge for a package I "supposedly" agrred to add. Interesting considering I only called to inquire about my current package and lineup. time warner cheated me....worst experience I have had until...they promised me a new cable package and asked me to move from my original cable package..it all worked for a day and then the channels stopped....when I call them they tell that the new package doesn't include what was promised by them initially...i escalated it to the supervisor and he tells that I cant move back to my original package as it doesn't exist and asks me to pay a huge amount for the same..I ended up paying 35$ more... The physical address of Time Warner doesn't matter; the whole of their company is the same no matter the service locations.
What an unbelievable shifty company this is. *First off don't go to digital if you haven't yet, and I highly suggest using a different provider or not having any cable television at all.

Our experience with Time Warner has been horrible. To begin with, their service was not good. We had the home bundle with internet, cable and phone. i Had this service for about 3months...i never got a Paper bill or it showed up in my online account.....It always showed zero balance....I moved from that place and called up them that i m moving and need to return the equipment and they said dont worry we will pick you can move....2months later i get a call from credit management about not paying for service nor for equipment....They are such a SCAM ...i have nevcer seen such ass**** i dont knw hw credit management company is helping these... Please folks don't waste your time with this company, they are over priced and thier service and customer service is horrible. If you try to cancel service you will be on hold forever (1+ hrs and still didn't get to talk to a person). Go with Dish or Directv it cheaper and a lot better service. (read more)

Poor service. I would not recommend to anyone. When we signed up with them 6 months ago, part of the offer was $150 gift card, which now they refuse to send to us. First they told us that they would do so after 3 months of contract. WHen we called them today they backed out and gave us ridiculous reasons why they will not send the gift cards. We had bad experience with them 10 years ago, got rid of AOL and now we will use first offer to get rid of Time Warner again. Bunch of liars! Never again. (read more)

3 outage in one month, two days wait period every time and they work only 9-5. That explains their service. The seem to have monopoly in the place where I live ... WORST customer service we've ever experienced in our lives. We've been lied to, had bills blamed on taxes (like taxes can increase $5 each month come on!), and interrupted by reps on the phone. We were given a rate, promised for 1 year, then all of sudden we get an increase. We were told the lower rate was correct, then 5 minutes later told no it is the higher rate, then minutes later told it will go up again next month, and the next day told it already went up again! if you have any other choice, go for it. i have none, my bldg decided to sign up for TWC which holds the monopole. for some unknown reasons, they made an upgrade and i have no cable for two days. the appointment is scheduled for next Wednesday. i cut everything off besides basic service, i use Netflix and Redbox instead of trying to stream from them. their service is a nightmare, customer support has been outsourced and therefore there is none.

The service itself is absolutely horrible. The "new and improved" DVR box is an absolute joke. First of all, it doesn't record when you tell it to. It's slow and the box doesn't respond to the remote signal on time at all. I HATE IT.
Our "high speed" internet goes out ALL OF THE TIME! We constantly have to reset the modem. I work from home and need a reliable internet connection. I can't tell you how many days I have missed work because of the internet acting up. So frustrating!

HORRIBLE customer service with incompetent "supervisors"
Initially had called Time Warner for a temporary service suspension while my apt underwent minor renovations... ended up cancelling my entire service after such poor customer support. TW also tried to charge me an extra week even though service was disconnected bc TW hadn't picked up the cable boxes yet.

Very poor customer service and pricey. We were scheduled for our internet re-installation after a week of waiting(that's the earliest schedule they gave to do it) and even confirmed it 2 days before the schedule date. I have had Time Warner Cable Basic TV service (channels 2-77 at present)for more than 20 years and have never had a problem that was not resolved in a timele manner. I am, therefore, extremely satisfied with the services.
Would I recommend TWC to a friend? But of course. In fact, I have done so on many occasions. Pay your TWC bills on time, or in advance, and you will continue to enjoy excellent, reliable and professional services. (read more)

I work from home so I use the internet every day. Almost daily the internet goes out for anywhere between 10 and 90 minutes. I have had 3 different technicians out here and they cannot seem to solve the problem. They've given new modems, we've purchased a new router, & they had us re-wire everything twice. Now they are saying the problem is the outside wires.
They are horribly backed up because lots of people have problems with their service. You have to wait 3 weeks to get an appointment.... (read more)

Time Warner Cable customer service is a nightmare and no one knows what they are doing. We had 14 people come over to our apt to fix the internet, it took about 7 months of phone calls and headaches before the problem was mostly resolved. We had to pay for the seven months of service, even though the internet wasn't working. I ordered service and they will come to install phone, cable and TV in 14 days. They charged me on the day of ordering the service, before even having the installation. It sound to me unfair to pay more than 2 weeks before I even had the service. Other providers are usually charging at the end of the month of service. From the beginning, even before having service- it seems to be an unfair business done by Time Warner.

I would have switched to Verizon, but they did not offer the internet service in my area.
They overcharged us, they give you "free" packages then charge you without notice when the promotion is over rather than canceling or informing me, they schedule cable box pick up and did not show up then charged us, and they sent credit collection agencies after us without even sending us a bill!
