Bad Points: It is hard to high lite bad points especially after you had a wonderful experience. .
But one area my wife and I did feel some disappointment, and that was your music program, especially in the evening, say 8 pm to 12 pm
But I would like to note one item, not so much as criticism but rather a suggestion.
Both my wife and I have great love of music and dance, especially for the Latin sounds of Cuba and other Latin American Countries. In some way I am a purist in this area and the Salsa, Merengue, Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba and Tango and other dance music need to be presented in it's classic forms.
What I did notice that the resort did not apparently have a resort musical group that the visitors to the resort could relate to. Though I did see some group playing music but not under any structural schedule or specific location to give the most benefit to all visitors.

General comments: Having visited number of other resorts in Cuba, including a Sandals Resort in Jamica. The Sandals Royal Hicacos in Varadero has to be best. There are many factors that I look at as how this resort reflects to it's visitors. But the most important factor is the openness, courteous manner, and dedication of management and staff. This friendly environment was evident from the first day we arrived at Sandals Royal Hicacos to the day we left.
The meals wether it was breakfast, lunch or evening supper, in my estimation was par excellent not only in it's flavour but in presentation, and especially at the a la cart restaurants.
Cleanliness was an other area that impressed my wife and I. We commented quite frequently of the way our room, gardens, pools, buildings and especially that wonderful beach where we spent so much enjoyable time, soaking up that warm Cuban sunshine, were impeccable.
The other bars and grills all had an ambience of relaxation and comfort.

If you are going to Cuba you will benefit from accepting that you are in a Country that is restricted by its limitations of not enjoying a free trade economy. It is also has a tropical climate and so service is generally slower than in colder climates. However, the people are genuinely friendly and happy to make your visit a memorable one and the emphasis is on relaxation. Slow down and you will enjoy it much more. Try and see more than the resort areas to appreciate the contrast in lifestyles t ...
