Bag arrived with stains on the inside, stitching missing and a broken zip. Phoned to complain, only to be greeted with thoroughly unhelpful staff.

So disappointed with this bag. The bag I bought was a satchel with a strap .i was exoecting a wonderful soft leather bag with a robust strap and internal compartments. What i got is a bag that could have been made out of cardboard. The leather was stiff and unforgiving. I gave it the benefit of the doubt, hoping that it was just new leather stiffness and that it would become increasingly flexible as it matured. However, before it had time to mature the strap had become detached, the lining had come away from the leather, the zip was broken. The buckles simply refuse to stay fastened. All in all it is a huge disappointment, a total waste of money and a lesson learned. I wont be back, I won't be recommending this to a friend, and I won't be buying a leather bag online again. Terrible. And 8 months in it still isn't flexible. Sigh. Not so cheap and far too tatty.

Did you try contacting them? I have bought lots from them and the one time some stitcing came away they sent it for repair straight away and it came back good as new? They were relaly quick about it too

We have a full Returns and Repairs Policy and will always try to repair or replace a bag that develops a fault within 1 year, and even have a repair service after 1 year. After reading so many positive reviews about Scaramanga Direct, I went ahead and ordered my bag. However, nearly two weeks later I have received nothing and had no response to the 2 emails I have sent about my order. As with another reviewer on this site - they have taken my money but I have received nothing. I am feeling anxious.

Scaramanga's respose. We do not appear to have received your e-mails. They may have been filtered into our spam mail box. Our apologies if this is the case. We do not have any outstanding orders for April and only one for May. The order for May is a custom order and the customer is fully aware of the expected time for delivery of their order. We aim to despatch orders he same day or the next working day. Should a bag be out of stock there is a clear notice on our website informing customers when our new stock will arrive and when their bag will be despatched. The review left by another customer was as a result of miscommuncation. His bag was sent to him the next working day after we contacted him. He has since attempted to edit his initial review - admitting he had rushed to judge us without giving us adequate time to respond to his e-mail. He has been unable to change the initial review. However, he has left a comment that he received his bag and would happily buy from Scaramanga again. If your order has still not arrived Please contact us on +44 1337 868 491 and we will try as hard as possible to resolve the problem. Please update your review if your bag has arrived.

Ordered/paid on December third; website still shows "processing" as of December 12th. Emails have gone unaswered. I have no idea what the delay is or why it hasn't been shipped. They have my money; I have nothing. I will update this review when/if my leather bag arrives.

I have tried to update this post several times, however; this site refuses to allow me to login. I keep getting "invalid password" when I try and when I click the "forgot password" link and put in my email address I get ""No registration was found for the email "___ @___.com" Please check your spelling."" I'm not sure how to fix this. Scaramanga did respond to my emails (after I made this post, however; I don't feel it was because of this post), I did receive the bag (It was delayed due to miscomunication and an overzealous email filter) and the bag is very nice.
<br/>My only disapointment with the bag is:
<br/>1. The inside lining is rough and I'm afraid it might scratch my laptop
<br/>2. There is no good place to store the charger (all the pockets place the charger in a position where it may damage the laptop; there should be something so the charger can be placed next to and not on top of or under the laptop).
<br/>
<br/>These "disapointments are only suggestions. The bag is as described and is very well made.

This is my second attemp to update this review. I am jbarboni, however; I can not log-in I continue to get a password error and any attempt to retrieve my password fails. I did receive the bag and it is very well made. scaramanga was prompt and patient in replying to many emails as we tracked it to the US. I will definately purchase from them again and have recommended them to friends.

After a succession of e-mail that day we sent his order the next working day. We upgraded the delivery to a priority service (at no extra charge) to make up for lost time and kept him full informed of the progress of his order.
