I booked an appointment at Brides Of Harrogate (my apologies to Confetti and Lace, whom, it seems, have a wonderful reputation) and we arrived at 1.50 for a 2 o'clock appointment. We were not as much as acknowledged, for at least half an hour. The shop was busy: this I completely accept. We were then told to pick some dresses and shown to a lovely little curtained area, in which we were to try them on. I recently visited confetti and lace after finding a dress online that I wanted to try on. It was the first (and only) bridal shop that I visited so I was very nervous but Jane made me and my family feel at ease. Good old fashioned friendly, helpful service with great range of dresses and pretty good prices - how refreshing! The younger girl who helped me, Amber absolutely knew her stuff and could tell me about the materials on the dresses, how they could add sash's or straps and despite me being on the larger side, couldn't make me feel more at ease and what's more a lot of the dresses fit me or were too big! Confetti and lace are amazing! Each individual member of staff made me feel like a princess on the run up to my wedding day. They couldnt have been more helpful! I have recently visited both of Confetti & Lace shops (Leeds & Harrogate) and need to tell you what a fantastic experience both me and my mum had. It started off with a nice and relaxed start from Jane the shop assistant dealing with me, and I was given markers to put in the dresses I wanted to try. What an amazing store in Harrogate. It has to be the largest store with the most choice in wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses I’ve seen. I had an appointment to try on some bridal gowns and was greeted by a friendly member of staff who advised me she would look after me today. Go here, you'll really enjoy it! I visited plenty of wedding dress shops in Leeds and further afield to find a lot of them judging you as soon as you walk in the door and this shop (every time I visit) is welcoming and they really know their stuff, which is good for me as I've never done this before and am not planning to do it again! When my daughter tried her wedding dress on, intially the salespeople were quite pleasant. They only had the dress in a size 16 and my daughter is a size 8 but they wrapped the dress around and said that they could fit it properly in the style she liked, short and fifties style. We ordered the dress several months prior to the wedding and after reading reviews decided to organise the first fitting of the dress in April (wedding in July). This review is unfair and unhelpful. This ladies daughter bought a bridesmaid dress in ivory some months earlier and it arrived in perfect condition - the bride had fallen out of love with her simple 60's type dress - she looked stunning in it but she felt it was too plain (something which was obvious at the time of ordering it) and she paid only a couple of hundred pounds for. At fittings we tried all sorts of suggestions to try and help - we spent a long time making a new short underskirt and putting dress nets under, suggesting a bow at the back which the bride loved then didn't like the next day. It's not our fault that the bride obviously felt that she wanted a more traditional dress in the end and we maintain there was nothing wrong with the original dress, our commitment to our brides or our service. This brides mother wanted us to restyle the dress - which we offered - but it would have been an additional cost which we believe is fair and we tried to help at each stage - the comments are extremely unfair and the staff involved have been upset as they take the happiness of their customers to be paramount. Please ignore this vindictive, spiteful brides mother and come and see for yourself what we do. A Lewis-Smith, very proud owner, Confetti and Lace.

I didn't feel any pressure to buy but I found my perfect dress and felt so comfortable about buying from them. The best piece of advice I can give is to ensure you say that your wedding day is at least two weeks before your actual date. Even though I had ordered my dress and bridesmaid dresses 6 months before my wedding all of the fittings had to be squeezed into the last two weeks and felt very rushed and stressful considering it was their busiest time of the year. Quite how Confetti & Lace (Leeds) has won customer service awards I shall never know. I visited the shop twice - once to look for a wedding dress for me and once with my bridesmaids to look for dresses for them.

Confetti and Lace made my wedding so stressful. I ordered my dress 10 months before the wedding and we were still being fitted the day before. I booked two appointments to chose the dresses and was pushed out of the door as they had overbooked, do confirm how long you will be given to look as I had 45 minutes for and appointment. Absolutly fantastic! I recently ordered 4 kelsey rose dresses @ short notice, my fault, but no problem to confetti and lace. I had to pay a rush cut fee, but I had only 3 months to my wedding date! so in that short space of time they managed to accomodate all the maides fittings, doing late nights. We are SO sorry you had this experience with our Harrogate branch - I have investigated and on the busy Saturday you came in we did have one of our consultants call in sick in the morning so her 6 appointments were taken on by the other staff as it was too late to cancel them. This should have been explained to you at the time and once again our apologies for a 'exceptional and out of the ordinary' day. We hope you have found your bridesmaids dresses and would love it if you could give us a 2nd chance with anything such as accessories, menswear etc and if you need any alterations carried out on any gowns, we'd be more than happy to help in any of our branches.
