I like this book because it brought me close to the nature of the world. I think that this book and all his other books are good money for value. Raymond Mears is a rollmodel for children. He is the best.

Ray Mears' has more valid creditation to what he does than almost everyone else involved in bushcraft. His own real life experiences are not weekend field trips, he has actually lived with and been accepted into some of the worlds most city-oblivious tribes and authentic people, still living in what wilderness he and his kind have helped to preserve. His skills are not second nature, they are his first, and in this he is quite literally a survival bushcraft pioneer.- Read Bushman88's review (108 words)

Review on 22nd Feb 2007An essential guide for surviving in the wilderness, it assumes a certain level of knowledge but provides a host of information about First Aid, food and setting up camp.
