Recently ordered flowers for mothers birthday. Arrived on stated day. Flowers poor quality, large yellow crysthan missing, was main reason I ordered it as like these flowers. Too much greenery felt like it was put in to make up for lack of flowers. Flowers started dying after 4th day. Disappointing purchase, nothing special could have purchased better in supermarket. Would not buy again or recommend

I have not seen these flowers nor the chocolates ordered to accompany them. However I do know that they were left on a doorstep for 2 hours until the recipient was alerted by a neighbour. They were not left in a porch as reported there is no porch and the delivery photo shows the parcel on the doorstep. I understand from the recipient and neighbour that the delivery man did not knock. Had it not been for the neighbour the parcel could have been there all day by which time both flowers and chocolates would have been worse for wear or could have been stolen. Please M&S at this troubled time alert your delivery firm to make sure that goods particularly perishables are safely delivered

I was sent some Rose's on Valentines Day. I was out when it was delivered. They got left outside my front door. When I got home some if the Rose's were a bit worse for wear. There was a card with them to say water was not included to protect the environment. This is ridiculous as the flowers were in a huge box, lots of cellophane and plastic. I have not told the sender as he would be upset. I was able to revive all but 2 of the 2 dozen Rose's. Please include water. We have plenty of it, certainly enough for some flowers.

Very generous bunch of flowers arrived Wednesday unfortunately one rose already dead and by Friday half of them had died. No flower food with the delivery. Alstromeria and soldago fine lasting well. Quantity and delivery great but quality of roses poor. Although the Christmas flowers we received were lovely and excellent quality these were disappointing.

The M&S website specifically doesn't allow us to post a review that mentions delivery, which means feedback there only focusses on the flowers themselves, and they also do a feedback request re the packaging. The packaging was fine and the flowers well protected, but my Mum had stayed in for the whole day they were supposed to arrive. An hour after their last chance I phoned M&S and it seems the flowers had never been on the van and they had no idea where they were, despite the fact that I'd been sent an email the night before saying they had been despatched. The manner of the girl on the phone was very poor, so I insisted on speaking to someone higher up. He kindly refunded the amount and organised reordering for Mothering Sunday [not as convenient, which is why I'd originally booked them for the 24th]. The flowers were delivered on the Sunday afternoon.....and again on the Monday, so we ended up with a spare set that we gave to a bereaved neighbour. The flowers were all in bud, which helps them last, but for a specific day you do need at least some to be in flower. The tulips did not last well at all, as they need different treatment from daffodils, and there weren't separate instructions for them. For the "100" flowers there really should be more food provided as you need several vases for them; the 2 packets that are supplied otherwise become very diluted. I was so cross about the whole thing I got my mum to count the stems, and, in fact, they were a little short - 96. It shouldn't be so hard for them to get the number right, as advertised. M&S sent a very apologetic email to me, feeling that they had indeed let themselves down, and also a £10 voucher. They have done what they can to make up for the disappointment and frustration, but with this sort of thing there really is often only one chance to get it right. Delivering flowers is quite a specialised field, and I feel they have not paid enough attention either to the detail of the product or to their logistics for reliable delivery. Despite the compensation I am very unlikely to ever order anything from them online again, though I still enjoy their high street shops.

I had flower bought for me for mothers day they was in box. When topped up with water it leaked all over. After sending email was abit worried after reading some of these comments they said they would send me a voucher to which this morning i got it. They do need to improve but think they dealt with it very well and quick

I received from my son in Germany one of your outdoor tubs of plants, in this tub a box of chocolates had just been put on top of the display resulting in a broken plant and two completely flattened little pink flowers. Surely these chocolates could have been placed down the side of the tub thus preventing any damage to my gift for Mothers day.

I ordered a bouquet of flowers for a friend and was happy to see that delivery was included in the price. However, the delivery person just left them in front of her flat (she lives in London) and they were presumably stolen or never delivered. I would have thought that a signed-for delivery would be necessary, especially in London. Was going to order on Waitrose but delivery was quite expensive, but now I wish I had ordered elsewhere. Would not recommend.

I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife's birthday on 18 March for delivery on 26 March. Plenty of notice. The web site invited me to include an additional gift and I chose a bottle of champagne. I filled in a gift card and paid up. At just before 0800 on 26 March a van stopped outside the house and delivered the champagne. The driver wanted a signature but no gift message and no flowers. A plain package for the wine also. I waited patiently all day until 1745 when my wife noticed a fleeting figure who left the flowers at the front door, rang the doorbell and rapidly disappeared. No signature this time and no checking this was the right house. M&S have been OK before but I would really have appreciated the flowers and champagne together. By the time the flowers arrived the main part of the birthday was over.

I ordered alstroemeria abundance flowers to be sent to a relative who had a bereavement. I did not want 'funeral flowers' nor gaudy birthday flowers just something femanine and delicate to help her day.and chose lavender coloured alstroemeria abundance as shown What arrived was nothing like those advertised being darkish cerise wine colour mix. totally inappropriate and I am extremely cross and disappointed with Marks and Spencer. I would never order flowers from you again and certainly would not recommend you to a friend. In response e the question what would I like to have known before my purchase, that what I ordered would be delivered.

A relative who has recently celebrated her 100th birthday naturally was sent flowers by several people.... after all, what else can you give a 100 year old? The Marks & Spencer delivery driver told neighbours that he was not allowed to lift the flowers out of his van, but was persuaded that on this occasion the recipient could not be expected to collect them herself. What sort of a service is that! I wonder who lifts them into the van in the first place. Unbelievable!! To their credit, when a neighbour reported this to the local M&S store, the manager was very apologetic and arranged for a gift voucher to be sent. Maybe this is the fault of a contracted delivery service rather than M&S, but will not help their reputation. The flowers themselves seemed very good, but I can't say how long they have lasted, as I haven't seen them since the day they arrived.

I have ordered M&S flowers for delivery in the past and the service has been good. The flowers a little lame but otherwise very good. This one time I find out that the person they are being delivered to will not be around to take the order as they were going on holiday. 24hrs before I call as soon as I can after being told, for M&S not to deliver the flowers. Unfortunately the flowers have been sent to the courier. M&S have no details of the courier or where they exactly are. I have asked for them to at least not be delivered. I am out of pocket by £35 and the least they can do is stop them being delivered or ‘given to a neighbour or left in a safe place’ The last thing I want is flowers being left in view to denote that the occupants are not at home for a week. All I got from customer service was ‘sorry there is nothing I can do’. I’m also thinking how long have these flowers been in a box on the back of a van and what they would be like if they were delivered! I’m very disappointed and next time I’ll use the local florist!

The photo online showed orchids but there were none in bouquet. First bunch had 3 Proteas and a lot of twiggy heather type greenery. They sent another which had better greenery and one spray of heather with magenta flowers. Still no orchids and no note to say they were unavailable which might have helped. Do not order South African bouquet. It is really boring but was a gift so I cannot complain any more. Delivery quick as promised.

I've used M&S for flower deliveries several times. Very hit and miss. Condition of flowers and packaging can be disappointing. Latest complaint is that the gift card is difficult to locate in the packaging and the printing so small that it's almost unreadable.

We were dissapointed, we chose some really nice flowers from thew website for our dear friend but the real thing looked disspaointing, we used Marks and Spencers as they are known for quality, we believe this side of their shopping experience let's them down.
Will use local florist in future.
