“Following my review this afternoon”

Written on: 01/05/2014 by lottie20 (1 review written)

I complained about my flowers today, that arrived for my Birthday yesterday, I am still very dissapointed with them but I may have been rather negative, as in the past I have sent flowers that friends have been pleased with ( unless like me they didn't want to upset the sender) so on this occasion I do feel upset as I was looking forward to them arriving and had stayed in all day waiting for them and they still don't smell nice!… Read Full Review

“No way of telling who they were from!!”

Written on: 31/03/2014 by Gustavos499 (1 review written)

Received flowers/hamper this morning. There was no card so tried to telephone Marks and Spencer on four different numbers to establish whether they could tell who it had been sent by. I really wanted to thank the sender but the first time (at 8.30 a.m.) held on for 15 mins. Second call held on for another 15 mins. Third call 10 mins and just now the message was that Marks and Spencer were experiencing high volumes of calls so I put the phone down as I didn't think there was any chance of… Read Full Review

“Disappointing”

Written on: 27/12/2013

I received these flowers as a Christmas present from my sister on Monday 23rd and on receipt the fressias were crushed, the edge of the rose petals were starting to go brown. By Christmas Day all the flowers were a sad sight. I contacted M&S on Boxing Day and they sent me a replacement arrangement which arrived early the following morning and these flowers look perfect. Good response from M&S in rectifying the problem … Read Full Review

“DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER”

Written on: 11/08/2013

Dear Sir/Madam, I ordered my friend's Birthday Roses and Lily Bouquet as usual this year, and was mortified to hear from her that although the first one arrived on the nominated day, the quality of the flowers was certainly not up to Marks and Spencer's high standard. They appeared withered and dried up.My friend not wishing to let me know, rang M&S and complained.Another bouquet was delivered the following day, her birthday, and sadly they were exactly the same, very poor quality. After… Read Full Review

Objoyful's Comment

I absolutely agree about the 'no water' policy. However laudable this aim, and it is, it is not working.
A bouquet arrived from my son for me on Mother's Day afternoon. I did exactly as instructed;, cut the ends, put in the liquid feed and put them in water up to their necks. The chrysanthemums were droopy and one effectively dead. The roses were fully out with curly outer petals. They did not rehydrate as on the instructions. It is horrid to have to tell someone that your gift is not up to standard. But I did tell my son and he contacted M&S. To their credit they gave him a full refund, a fresh bouquet for me and a £10 voucher. Sadly the second bouquet - again 'no water' - was not a lot better but I haven't the heart to tell him again. It spoils the pleasure of the gift to keep complaining.

“flowers past their best”

Written on: 19/07/2012

my wife received a bouquet this morning from friends in the north of scotland who fortunately will never see their token of thanks. the carnations were excellent, the roses well past their best so very disappointing really. I will choose to be anonymous so my friends will never know how disappointing their gift turned out to be!… Read Full Review

“My wife has just receeived her Valentine's Day...”

Written on: 12/02/2010 by shiner3lima (5 reviews written)

My wife has just receeived her Valentine's Day flowers. I initially ordered online via their website but even though the site took all of my details and confirmed by email, M&S cancelled the order due to processing issues. I contacted M&S direct by phone and placed the order with an agent. The flowers on their website are displayed in a vase but this is not included in the price (and not stated as such either). My wife called me to say she has received the dozen Autograph Sweet Avalanche Roses… Read Full Review
