Orchid arrived with tear in one leaf and mark on another. Flowers looked a bit sad and definitely not the quality one would expect from M&S. When I rang they offered a £5 gift card. The plant was £45 and when it is sent as a gift you would hope it to be in first class condition, not a reject. They then agreed to send a replacement which was in very good condition and different altogether from the first plant. “Wilting roses”

“Mothers Day Tulip Box ”

Having used Marks and Spencers for several years to get flowers delivered to my mother on mother's day and birthdays - won't be using again. Flowers which were delivered last Sunday, 6 March 2016 were in a poor state, delivered by Yodel, very droopy and half dead, hardly the impression I was after. “My birthday treat? Sadly Not!”

Instead of receiving the usual cut flowers for my birthday, I spotted a pretty flowering urn online and so decided to order it for myself. It arrived on the appointed day - I opened it immediately, but it was on its side in the box with the dry soil and most of the contents spilled out into the bottom of the box! “Broken flowers Peony and Roses bouquet ”

Very dissapointed as my auntie sent me these on the death of my mum. I carefully opened the package to find one of the carnations was decapitated, another the stem was broken and another was cut far to short. So of the four carnations three unusable in the display. Although the recipient of the flowers was at home, the box of flowers was thrown over a 6ft fence at the back of the house. The delivery driver had made the note that the flowers were left at the porch at the rear of the house. There is no access at the back and the house does not have a porch. “Disappointing”

I received these flowers as a Christmas present from my sister on Monday 23rd and on receipt the fressias were crushed,the edge of the rose petals were starting to go brown. By Christmas Day all the flowers were a sad sight. I contacted M&S on Boxing Day and they sent me a replacement arrangement which arrived early the following morning and these flowers look perfect. I absolutely agree about the 'no water' policy. However laudable this aim, and it is, it is not working.
A bouquet arrived from my son for me on Mother's Day afternoon. I did exactly as instructed;, cut the ends, put in the liquid feed and put them in water up to their necks. The chrysanthemums were droopy and one effectively dead. The roses were fully out with curly outer petals. They did not rehydrate as on the instructions. It is horrid to have to tell someone that your gift is not up to standard. But I did tell my son and he contacted M&S. To their credit they gave him a full refund, a fresh bouquet for me and a £10 voucher. Sadly the second bouquet - again 'no water' - was not a lot better but I haven't the heart to tell him again. It spoils the pleasure of the gift to keep complaining.
