Fewer Issues Than Most Other Providers!

I moved here 2 years ago from an area that had national providers such as BT/Virgin etc, and I'm quite surprised at some of the reviews on here! Obviously people don't have experience of some of the larger ISP providers out there in the rest of the country.

I was with KC for 1 year then switched over to Connexin as they seemed to offer better value for money and seemed to be the most popular next choice according to some work colleagues. I wanted something for both home and business.

What I would like to say is that yes, like most other ISP providers, there are a few kinks that need ironing out, but I've had far fewer issues compared to what I had with KC/BT. Any issues I have had have always been dealt with efficiently and it actually seemed like they cared when I rang up!

So all in all, I would recommend them.

No Connection

I've been using Connexin for years, for international calls.

One minor irritation is that when the money runs out, they cut the line mid-call without any explanation. Which requires checking. It would be easier if they sent a message to warn that your credit was running low.

Often - perhaps 2 times out of three - there are difficulties connecting, the connection is one-way, sound quality is poor or deteriorates. Usually I end up using my landline.

As I'm looking for someone to takeover my UK calls, I'll switch to a better provider.

How On Earth Can Anyone Justify Selling A 500 Minu

How on earth can anyone justify selling a 500 minute per month package as "Unlimited"???

Hidden away in the terms and conditions, section 2.2 "unlimited" is defined as 500 minutes.

On top of this there is a "Cancellation Fee" of £39 if you want to cancel within 12 months.

There service may be great (I wouldn't know) but the advertising is blatantly misleading, and the cost is relatively high.

Quick And Easy To Setup I Found The Live Chat And

Quick and easy to setup I found the live chat and remote setup was a neat touch. Very fast email support and simple to use service. I used the soft phone for a day until my deft handset arrived the next day. It was a simple plug in and go thing from there.

Be Very Careful That You Read The Terms And Condit

Be very careful that you read the terms and conditions before you sign up. Their "unlimited" calling plans are blatantly mis-represented, giving you a call allowance of just 500 minutes per month - not unlimited at all. Also you sign up for a minimum 12 month contract so can't escape once you realise.

First Impression Of These Guys Was Good. They Advi

First impression of these guys was good. They advised me well and were fast. We bit the bullet and now have a good hosted PBX solution with call quality we are happy with. However, the initial set-up took a LONG time to get right and lots of testing was needed. To be fair though our requirements were complex.

Also, after digging in the control panels it looks to me that they are a reseller of the coms.com service which appears significantly cheaper for the same product. It was too late for us as we had already entered a contract before I came across coms. It might be worth comparing with coms.com in case my suspicions are correct.

The support is fast, although a bit patchy. I get the feeling that when they dont know the answer they have to go back to the real provider to ask.

Overall we are pleased with our outcome but they do seem a small outfit and give the impression of being a few guys running a reselling business from their bedrooms!

I Have Used Connexin For Over Two Years Now And Ha

I have used connexin for over two years now and have found the service to be of an exceptional quality! The team at connexin are highly approachable and provide what feels like a one to one service, they have been able to customize my entire office phone system to my requirements. Keep up the good work!!!!

Connexin Fail To Deliver - Be Cautious As A

Connexin fail to deliver - Be Cautious

As a result of this article and further investigation I agreed a contract with Connexin for my SME business. The guys at Connexin came to see us at our offices, seemed extremely knowledgeable and sold us a comprehensive package VOIP hosted PBX system to work across our land and mobile phone devices which would meet our needs and more. Unfortunately, after countless hours working on the system to try and make it work they were unable to provide the service they sold us. Despite this they still expect us to pay for the full service. We have registered a complaint with OFCOM (ref: 1143879582) but OFCOM inform us that Connexin are not a member of an ADR scheme (Alternative Dispute Resolution Scheme) as required by law for telcom providers. It has also become clear as we have pursued this that the director, was actually a fulltime student at Imperial College studying medicine when he sold the product to us which further explains why they were incapable of acting in a proper business manner.

Lessons learned

Always check that telcom providers are registered at OFCOM

Download a copy of the company accounts before you sign

Don't trust anyone with your company telephone numbers until you are totally convinced or they have you over a barrel.

This was an exceptionally difficult customer from day one. They ignored connexin advice regarding their router/switch and refused to pay their phone bills for several months blaming Connexin for "poor voice quality" bear in mind that with this "bad call quality" they were making between 50-100 calls a day each lasting on average 7mins...We providing them with numerous hours of support and even sent out an independent engineer for free to examine their local network and test call quality - everything was tested and given the clear. They were happy with the service then all of a sudden developed poor quality when the next bill was due! They were given numerous friendly reminders but ignored these. Eventually the decision was made to disconnect the customer when 3 months worth of bills were outstanding. On reading this it is clear that this is more of a personal attack than a review.. this customer happily enjoyed "poor call quality" for over 8 months...Connexin is a customer focused company and understands that sometimes cashflow can limit customers and has on numerous occasions at its discretions created interest free payment plans for its customer.

Customer Service Is Very Slow. I Have Been Looking

Customer service is very slow. I have been looking after our phone system in our office and we have had several problems with it as the configuration is not easy, their systems are confusing and not easy to use.

Put it this way even they managed to delete our automated attendant things by accident when "fixing" our problems!
