    Good Points: Performance
    Looks great in white
    Lights
    Fit and finish


    Bad Points: Glovebox
    Boot a tad small
    Trip computer not the most comprehensive


    General comments: After 7000 miles in my 58 plate Volvo V50 D5 SE Lux I could not be happier. The 180 brake engine is punchy and delivering 40mpg with some hard A and B road driving, plus town and motorway work at an overall average of 46mph. The brakes are very confidence inspiring and the bending headlight great for the mix of country roads I use.

    The update gave the car big door bins, two cup holders and a dual storage compartment for cds with an ipod area on top. The glovebox is a bit small and narrow however, and opting for the space saver spare wheel has reduced the depth of the boot, so if I had known beforehand I would have gone for the can of goo and kept my fingures crossed.

    The heated leather seats are very comfy if not quite up to the extreme comfort of my previous 55 plate A4.

    The base level stereo seems fine and the dealer fit bluetooth works ok, although the voice activation is sometimes a bit hard work.

    So far, a great car and the inspection service went without a hitch.

    Small it might be, but it's big on power, style and class. Incredible comfort, great seats, fast, good handling, unassuming, solid, that centre console, loads as standard.
