    Good Points: Turunc is a small coastal resort set in a bay, with 20 or more excellent restaurants, a dozen or so shops and a good market. The people are friendly, there are only a few hotels, mostly apartments and villas. No nightclubs but access to Ismaeler or Marmaris is easy and cheap by boat.


    Bad Points: A 2 hour journey from the airport and very twisting mountainous roads. You won't want to hire a car because everywhere you want to go can be done by boat.


    General comments: I've been here 4 years running because it has such a lovely atmosphere. When I return the local shop keepers and restaurant staff recognise me and welcome me with a hug. Decided to give it a rest this year but am already missing it. I have been a member of Holiday Property Bonds (HPB) for 10 years and have never regretted it. They have some fabulous properties in excellent locations and maintain a high standard. Physkos Villas at Turunc is one location and the villas are first class, set in a quiet area at the foot of the hills that surround the bay and only 5 minutes walk to the village centre. Each villa is fully equipped, has it's own private pool, a club room and washing machines are available to members.
