“mines broke AGAIN ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 04/10/2012

had mine nearly 4 years, first week i had it egr valve went diezel filter took 2 months to order because they were back logged, then the particular filter and cat went (this has happened 3 times ) cost £1000, per time,, egr valve replaced 3 times, then today the throttle stuck open i took the keys out of the ignition but it didnt stop, resulting in the fire brigade being called and the engine blowing up, so now im stuck with yet another massive bill. according to vauxhall these cars are no good for school runs, start and stop, pity they didnt tell me my wife and the kids when we were at southern vauxhall purchasing it.

had this car 2 year and in this preiod have spent just under £3000 on repairs, drive shaft went, egr valve went twice, dpf pipe spilt, altenater went, handles on rear seats snapped of would not reccomened this car to any one everytime called aa put been told its a common fault. and main dealer is just not interested and want to take your eyes out.Woild only buy this car if you dont need it often as always in garage and if you have plenty money to spend on repairs.

I have a 1.9 CDTi Elite 150 Diesel Automatic. Local driving gives me about 30 mpg. Is this reasonable or is there anything I can do to improve it?
