Good Points: The Kairaba Hotel is brilliant all round. The staff are second to none and they just love to help the tourist's.

    Bad Points: The Management

General comments: The Kairaba Hotel used to be the only 5* Hotel in The Gambia, now they have The Sheraton (I cannot comment on the Seraton, haven't stayed there yet). (It's just a bit too far from the local restaurants, but if they lay on transport, then it's got to be worth a visit). We will probably visit soon and let you all know.
Location is perfect, right on the beach, has beach security and the best Life Guard in The Gambia, I swear he is part fish)
All the staff are superb, the room cleaners are super, they will help in anyway they can, we have had some really lovely lady's clean our room's, we always give generously to them at the end of our trip.
The Pool is extra clean, the towels the same and the pool staff are extremely helpful also.
Hopefully we will return to The Gambia and The Kairaba in March 2009 I really cant wait for that.
Please visit The Gambia and The Kairaba, I swear you will not be disappointed, we never have been.

The Kairaba Beach Hotel is in a good location. Excellent breakfast. Super hotel. Bad points, sunbeds reserved each morning by hotel guests, beach - erosion has appeared again' People outside hotel bother you always. There are now quad bikes and cheap nasty restaurants. Have been travelling to Gambia for about 5 -6 years regardless of telling locals that you do not need their help, they still bother you
