Good Points: I think the Canon SD450 is even more compact than its predecessors. There is a very good quality to size ratio, and I am generally very pleased with the quality of my photos. The LCD is large and covers almost the entire rear side of the camera.

Bad Points: If you are really into photography, the lack of features may disappoint you, but for the casual photographer this lack of features actually makes the camera easier to use.

General comments: I would strongly recommend getting some kind of protective case to prevent scratches on the LCD.

I would not recommend purchasing a Canon at all. I believe a $400 camera should last much longer than 17 months! This one had failures beginning as early as 6 months.
