Used to shop at the one in town, but this one is much better.

There are shelves upon shelves of food and massive freezers full of fish, seafood and frozen crispy ducks etc. The store is big, clean and well laid out, and well-lit.

The best thing of all, is that it is soooo cheap! My weekly shopping comes up cheaper than it used to, when I shopped in town. You can buy massive blacks of monster tiger prawns as a fraction of the cost that you would have to pay in tescos and catering size packs... (read more)

I went to Wai Yee Hong wholesalers on Sunday to buy some ingredients for a dinner party I was holding. It was great to find everything I needed in one place. Although it was very busy on Sunday, they had so much choice - fresh roast duck, Chinese cakes, buns, fresh noodles and loads of Chinese veggies.
I really liked the cooking equipment section at the back of the shop, where I got some nice chopsticks and serving plates. (read more)
