I experienced terrible cracking with these tires. Continental Conti Sport Contact 3. After three years, there are long cracks between the tire treads. The tires were only used for driving around 5000km during this time. The new price of this tire is around 150£/180Euros per tire. Throwing them away for Dunlops.

Loved everything about these tyres except the exceptionally bad wear rate. Under 9k for front tyres on a Mondeo diesel with 140bhp! Fitted in January and worn out by the end of May. Anyone who lives in the UK will know that most of those miles have been driven in the wet. If you only buy these because your priority is handling and feedback and don't care about the mielage then you'll be happy. However, given the premium price charged for these I'd expect a much better return from my investment. Never again

These tyres give good feedback through the steering and handle well on dry and wet surfaces. Unfortunately, being of soft compound and if driven hard, the tyres wear very quickly. I wouldn't say I've driven the car hard but the tyres have almost hit the borderline of changing them at only 7500 miles. Being 340 BHP to the front wheels (with a few upgrades) the front tyres wore quickly whilst the rear had minimal wear. Would not recommend these tyres for this car, not for the front anyway.

I have just had to replace the offside rear tire this morning due to a slow puncture. Luckily I only had to replace one and thank goodness because at £290 plus VAT and fitting it isn't cheap. I do run them on 21" wheels so I know they arent small but still expensive if you have to replace the lot.

Got them on my new TT on 19" rims and am very pleased with them. I push the car hard on all sorts of road surfaces and they haven't let go once. After 12K they are still in good condition and are only about half-way to the wear band. They give lots of feedback from the road but I haven't found them overly noisy which is a common complaint of 35 profile rubber. The tramlining I out down to the size of the rims as opposed to the tires. They were fitted to the car when I got it so replacement hasn't been an issue yet - I believe they aren't cheap. The best things in life usually aren't though - look at your partner!

I found this review very helpful because...I AM THE OWNER OF A MERCEDES BENZ E320 PURCHASED NEW IN 2007. THE CAR WAS FITTED WITH CONTINENTAL TYERS . THE INSIDE WALLS ON THE FIRST SET (4)TYERS SPIT AND WAS NOT DETECTED UNTIL THE SECOND SERVICE WHICH WAS APROX 20000 MILE THE TREAD WORE DOWN TO 2mm .I REPLACED THE FULL SET AGAIN WITH CONTINENTAL TYERS,ONE UNFORTUNATLY GOT A NAIL THROUGH THE SIDE WALL HAD BE SCRAPPED WITH VERY LOW MILEAGE. THE REPLACENMENT TYER AGAIN CONTINENTAL LASTED ABOUT 4000/5000 AND DURING THAT VERY LOW MILEAGE DEVELOPED EGG SHAPE ON THE SOLE OF THE TYER WHICH GAVE RATHER LOUD HUMING SOUND WHEN TRAVELING ALONG .THIS GOT PROGRESIVELY WORSE.. THERE WAS 4.5MM TO 5.00MM OF TREAD LEFT ON THE TYER WHEN I WAS ADVISED TO CHANGE IT. THE FAULTY TYER WAS RETURNED TO THE MANUFACTURE CONTINENTAL.
CONTINENTAL DECLINED THE FAULT WAS DOWN TO THE MANUFACTURE OF THE TYER, SAYING FIRST THE SUSPENSION ON MY CAR WAS THE CAUSE OF TYER BEING THE SHAPE IT WAS. THEY THEN BLAMED THE TRACKING ON THE CAR BEING OUT OF LINE. ULTIMATELY THEY SAID THE TYER HAD BEEN RUN UNDER INFLATED.
FIRST THE CAR IS FULLY FITTED WITH A SENCER THAT WILL INDICATE A WARNING IN THE CAR IF A TYER DROPS PRESURE SECOND THE VEHICLE HAD THE TRACKING CHECKED TWICE WHEN THE REPLACEMENT TYER WERE FITTED AND PROVED TO BE SPOT ON REQUIRING NO AJUSTMENT.THIRD THE CAR IS SERVICED REGULARLY WHEN THE SERVICES INDICATOR WANING SYSTEM KICKS IN .THE CAR RECEIVE a D SERVICE AND HEALTH CHECK JANUARY 2011 AND FOUND TO IN PERFECT CONDITION.THE CAR HAS COVERED JYST 34000 MILE FROM NEW. I AM 70 YEARS OLD AND FRANKLY DRIVE WITHIN THE SPEED LIMITS AT ALL TIMES.
I AM VERY DIAPPOINTED WITH THE REMARKS MADE BY CONTINENTAL TYERS COMPANY.
