The IBM Thinkpad 380ED is one tough Laptop that keeps on working without any errors or crashes,It's built like a tank, I've drop it(not that I wanted too),and used it hard, from indoors to outdoors and out in the fields for Research use and Emergency Response work using GPS and APRS.I'm getting another one so it won't look so rough looking on the outside casing.Got 3 computers ,two on WinXP,one on Win98 and i'm always coming back to this one,the IBM 380 XD.Excellent feel and the Display is… Read Full Review

I recently bought one of these laptops and it is a great machine. It may not be the best on the market, but it has never had a problem, it runs smoothly, never crashes and the mouse drift is only a minor problem. I would definetely recommend this to anyone looking for a good starter laptop… Read Full Review

Hi Amulya, I had that problem too, you can try pressing Fn + F8, this will stretch the image to full screen, but with a resolution of 640x480. To use 800x600, download the latest video driver from the IBM page.

This has been a sturdy and reliable computer, used day in day out without a problem. The mouse drifts occaisionally on screen but IBM says this is a feature, not a fault, so the newer models have this too! Max memory is 48K which is too small these days. I would buy another Thinkpad except for the wondering mouse pointer !… Read Full Review
