    Good Points: Build quality, Equipment, Performance, Comfort, Seats, Sound system, Dealer, Space, Boot size, Auto boot opener and closer and all with an under stated elegance.


    Bad Points: Service costs (although not when compared to Mercedes, BMW or AUDI, all of which I have had). Fuel consumption (again, when the size, type and weight of the car are considered I suppose it's not too bad).


    General comments: I bought a 2004 model Volkswagen Phaeton in 2006 and I must say that this is the best used car I have ever had! The whole package is superb and the sound system puts my (very expensive) home HIFI system to shame! The seats are extremely comfortable, are heated and air conditioned, they have 18 way electric adjustment and 3 memory positions. The steering wheel motors out of your way when the ignition is turned off and back again when turned on, The boot is electric opening and closing, the lights stay on to "get you to your door in the dark" I could go on and on, simply, this is the BEST car I have ever owned.
