Good Points: The instructions are incredibly easy to follow, also this is one of the only brands which sell an option of very bright and vibrant colour. The colour conditioner does give you gorgeous; silky; shiny hair, in my case in the wrong colour up until the next wash after dying.

General comments: LOreal Recital Preference is advertised as being the most long lasting colour on the market, and is said to last up to six weeks and still be as vibrant as it was in the first wash. this hair colour turned out to be the most short-lasting dye I have ever used. the colour was not anything like the colour advertised on the front of the box, and I have blonde hair; so having dark hair was not a factor. the colour turned out to be about three shades darker than the fiery bright red I had wanted, looked cheap and chavvy, my hair looked extremely dry and damaged and the condition has not improved since. VERY ANGRY! also the colour only lasted to one wash after dying and then faded completely into a straw like brown. Therefore the damage to my hair was for nothing as the colour was totally disappointing.

Not only was I disappointed after using this product I even regret it.

While I still think Loreal makes good hair products in natural shades, I would not purchase any of their bright red shades again. Like another reviewer experienced, the hair colouring was almost entirely gone after 1 week. I have used Loreal hair colouring before in other shades and never had this problem. I expected a bright red shade to fade more noticeably that more natural shades, however I did expect a product labelled as long lasting and sold as permanent dye to last far longer than 1 week ...

My boyfriend convinced me i should go red, we search and searched for the right colour for me. I finaly found the L'oreal Paris Recital Preference the colour i used was the Seville 6.64 a vibrant red, to my horror it came out very very dark and now i look like an idiot, it looks soooo cheap i hate it, i love the casting creme so i thought this would be perfect but NO. would definatly not recomend this because the colour you buy isnt the one that comes out even if you follow the instructions b ...

I had been using the natural blonde L'Oreal Recital Preference colour for years, without any problems. The blonde colours have always been the best, and my hair condition wasn't damaged. I noticed the box design had changed, and I assumed the product was the same. I've never been allergic to anything in my life, but for some reason, after using Preference hair dye last time, I had a rash all down my neck. I've used other dyes since without any rash, and all permanent hair dyes contain the same ...

The colour, a bright vibrant red, was very dark, and not at all like it should have been according to the side of the L'Oreal Recital Preference hair colour packet. Also, it can only be described as a wash in and out, because as soon as I had washed my hair, it looked like I had bathed in a pool of blood. It's now been about a week, and it doesn't really look like I've coloured it at all.

It is very disappointing for a well known make. Not good value for money, and my hair feels damaged, and ...
