Good Points: Everything; All the Actors, especially John Travolta, Zac Efron, Nikki Blonsky, Queen Latifa, Elijah Kelly and Michelle Pfeifer.
Bad Points: None! :)
General comments: I love this movie. It's really funny, but also takes a look at issues such as racism in the 60's and segregation/integration. The songs are so catchy and the actors listed above are outstanding. John Travolta is hilarious as Edna Turnblad being the highlight of the movie. Nikki blonsky althought new to movies seemed comfortable and perfectly cast as Tracy. Link was perfectly played by Zac Efron; the perfect choice for the heart-throb. Overall this movie is so feel-good and leaves you with a happiness only felt with upbeat musicals like this one. A film for everyone! =] Cool, Corny, Crazy and Fantastic.

Hairspray is a sensational film which tells the story of Tracy Turnblad (Blonsky) a big girl with a big heart ,who dreams of starring in The Corny Collins dance show. With brilliant dancing and super singing Tracy and the other characters stories are told with great humour. Hairspray is set in 1960's America where Beehives rule and dancing is super-cool.

Hairspray is a fantastic, light hearted musical set in 1960's Baltimore and based on the cult movie from the 80's. It follows the story of Tracy Turnblad, a big girl with a big heart who has dreams of winning the 'miss teen hairpray' contest. Some superbly choreographed big musical numbers interspersed with an underlying theme of racial integration in 60's America and a great cast including the lead star - newcomer Nikki Blonsky , Christopher Walken and Queen Latifah. There' are some moments whe ...- Read Tania's review (184 words)
