Good Points: Economical, 45-50mpg. Practical, rear seats can be removed in 2-3 minutes.
Massive load area when seats are removed. Drives more like a saloon than a MPV.
Good torque from diesel engine. Reliable.
Bad Points: None
General comments: Over the past 37 years of driving numerous vehicles, the Mazda Premacy is by far the best vehicle I have owned. The car has never broken down; the only item that was changed under warranty was the cigarette lighter. I bought this MPV when my daughter started University & it has proved a God send for transporting her equipment & furniture.
My previous vehicle was an Escort estate & I needed a couple of trips to the local recycling to cart my annual conifer cut. Not so with the Premacy, with the back seats removed I can comfortably manage a single journey.
This has undoubtedly been the most reliable vehicle I have owned; driving is a real pleasure with car like handling & fantastic economy.
Alas, Mazda decided to stop production of the Premacy in favour of the Mazda 5 which I know has received good reviews but for me this MPV is oversize & seats fold flat which is not what I want.
I can also commend the Mazda dealership for there servicing & competitive charges.
