“Best Flight ever in economy”

We flew Vancouver to Narita - Narita to Bangkok return. all flights on time comfortable great food great entertainment including video game consoles for kids - constant attention from the air stewards - I felt very ill on the last leg of our long journey the staff gave me 3 seats and made a bed for me to lie down - on waking they came with water and a hot towel - amazing kindness. - seat size fine many people complain too small. The flight was exceptionally uncomfortable. The seat pitch is very narrow, Quality of the chair is very poor.

The food was below average, in comparison with other asian airlines.

The service was 3/10, due to lack of smiles from the cabin crew

Considering that it was a long haul flight, I thin JAL should improve their in-flight service.

The only good thing was the entertainment centre and the superb skills level of the pilot (smooth landing)

However, I still would recommend JAL over... (read more)

The service was the best I experienced in any airlines. Although the food was good overall, it was best between Tokyo and Hanoi. Possibly JAL had to accommodate western palate in their flight from the US. Alcoholic beverages included Japanese sake which is a big plus. (read more)

This trip of mine from Manila to Tokyo is one of the smoothest I've ever taken from a total of more than 50 flights. But the ticket is very costly, good thing my sponsored paid for it otherwise I cannot really afford flying through Japanese airlines. (read more)
