Good Points: Everything

Bad Points: Not on long enough

General comments: In my reviews its very rare that i struggle to find the words but as i walked down the famous Rock city steps I was speechless after witnessing a truly remarkable spectacle. Lead singer Tom Smith had the audience in the palm of his hand throughout and even after a blip on the second song his voice excelled and the crowd enjoyed every second of it even singing along to the new songs which is such a rarity at gigs. But it was songs such as all sparks, munich and blood that bought out the best in the band. When i first heard Editors were in Nottingham I was surprised to hear they were playing rock city and not the arena but rock city was the perfect place for this truly memorable night as i left thinking have I just seen the best band in the country right now i don't think im far wrong

The Editors have never had much of a stage presence, but when the quality of the music is as high as spine-tingling new single Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors, they could play with their backs to the audience for all it mattered.
