Good Points: It sure makes people smile and wave.

Bad Points: I didn't get one sooner.

General comments: My Honda Metropolitan is a great little machine. I find acceleration to be good. Nice for fast jaunts around town.

I think the Honda Metropolitan 49cc is an excellent short range commuting vehicle. It has saved me time and money, made access to a lot of areas, like downtown Los Gatos, much easier, and been very fun to operate. I love my scooter! Very reliable too.

After looking into many different scooters I felt it was best not to buy a cheap scooter. That's why I bought a Honda Metropolitan. I love it! I use it every day to commute to work - 10 miles each way. Its good looking, great running, has tons of room under the seat for my raingear, lunch, gloves, and coat, whatever... Top speed for me is just under 45, but I only go 25 back and forth to work. And, get this - I get 141.6 miles per gallon. It's unbelievable. I can drive to work all week and put i ...

I've used my Honda Metro daily for work about 8 miles each way. Only one long hill is a painful process. Even then, it holds its own but tops out at abt 28mpg. Speed limit is an amusing 25 (uphill?) so I'm all good even if my followers prefer a faster speed. Ride is smooth. Average about 95mpg in Pennsylvania. Only 500 miles on it so far but no concerns here.

Great on gas, very comfortable, easy to ride. I use it to commute to work and for short errands around town.
If you are looking for an efficient, reliable, good looking machine to use for short commutes and errand this is your scooter!

Classy looking. Reliable. Cool. Amazing mileage! The Honda Metropolitan is one of the best ways to get around today with fuel prices so high. Easy to service. I got the service manual, and everything is so easy to do to keep it in top shape. Love that Honda Met! Get one! They are low priced, and they are from Honda so you know you can get parts and they will go on forever!

I recently purchased a 2007 Honda Metropolitan & I love it! It is really easy to ride & seems to go forever on a tank of gas!
I mainly bought it to save on gas & because it is so cute. I didn't realize how fun it would be to ride!

As I said above, I should have purchased a Honda Metropolitan 49cc months ago. Parking, no issue, fuel economy, GREAT, quick runs to Starbucks-awesome, and grocery runs, plenty of room for storage! By the way, these things are in such demand, make sure you add insurance. You never know!

I believe the Metropolitan, for what it is....a small scooter, is very versatile and economical form transportation. While some may find the small engine with its slow cruising speed too restricting, I find it perfect for commuting to and from work and running errands around town.

Overall my experience with this scooter (my second) has been terrific. I use it primarily to ride from home to the train station and back (2 miles each way -- all flat). Then of course the joy riding during the summer months.
The 1.3 gallon gas tank seems a bit small, but then I realized that I only fill up about once a month anyway due to my limited use. But if you do extended riding each day, the small tank might be an annoyance. Even a 2 or 2.5 gallon tank would be an improvement.
    If I had to ...

I've owned my Honda Metropolitan scooter for about six months now, and I'm extremely happy with it. This little vehicle allows me to zip around town, to and from work, with enormous ease and very economically. It's strong enough to handle my weight on moderate to significant hills without any problem. And with a basket mounted on the back, I can run all sorts of errands and even get two large bags of groceries home, no problem. Having been a bike rider for many years, I now wish I'd switched to ...
