Worst car I have ever owned, was bought from main dealer but had problems from the start. The clutches burn out at 25000 onwards and cost £1500 to replace, the electronic hand brake locks on and won't release, usually at rush hour at traffic lights! The egs gearbox, please type this into any search engine for the reviews on this! Even the wheels if you have the steel ones will can only be fitted with Michelin tyres as other tyres have a bead around the rim which spins the wheel trim around… Read Full Review

I have the 1.6HDi Exclusive, I find the EGS extremely good, you can fool a biting point if you increase the revs slightly and it will hold it or creep forward, although I think EGS is too slow between gears and some planning is required when overtaking since you may need to manually change down a gear or two even in Automatic mode using the paddle.
There's nothing more scary than booting the throttle and finding the car doesn't respond as it's decided to change down at that point.

As an MPV you can only have small children in the rear seats which is not practical as they need strapping into car seats. NO BOOT SPACE for a buggy or even your weekly shopping. When seats fold flat there is a good size boot for a family of 5. I would not recommend this to anyone who has 4 children VERY IMPRACTICAL ! ! !… Read Full Review

Lovely and quiet 1.8 petrol engine, great space, nice styling.I went for the manual gearbox after ppl criticised the EGS gearbox on the net, Very comfortable ride on short distances, long distances you may need to stretch legs once in a while.
The back seats that fold down to floor are ok for younger children, but not very practical for younger teenagers.
Electronic hand brake sticks especially when putting it in reverse. The dash gets a bit of getting use to as its in the centre of the consol… Read Full Review

Whilst the interior and exterior design is attractive on the citreon c4 grand picasso, the EGS gearbox is a nightmare. Without the biting point of a manual system or the "creep" of a full automatic, there is no subtlety of control when maneouvering/parking - just one lurch after another. It's more like drivign a dodgem and is frankly dangerous. The electronic handbrake doesn't help at all and as a result I wish I'd never bought this car. Should have taken a longer test drive… Read Full Review

An amazing family car, roomy, lots of storage space, futuristic interior and very comfotable seating. Very easy to drive with light controls. Not the car If driving pleasure, sporty handling is your top priority. If family, practicality, economy and design flare is most important then this is the car for you… Read Full Review

Lovely punchy and quiet 1.6hdi diesel engine, futuristic and practical cabin, great space, nice styling. Some have criticised the EGS gearbox, but I find it excellent in manual mode. On all but the smoothest roads some noise intrudes from the tyres, especially as the engine is quiet. On uneven surfaces the softish suspension rolls around a bit, but handling is fine and the steering nice and light. Lovely car… Read Full Review

All things considered I would recommend the Citroen C4 Grand Picasso as long as you drive it first!
Family wise it is the most functional and family friendly car I have ever used. There is plenty of room inside and masses of storage space. You simply cannot fault it for the family. One thing though, i would suggest that you have rear and front parking sensors fitted to this vehicle, as you cannot see the end of the bonnet on this car and it is very difficult to judge distance at the rear… Read Full Review
