The x-poles they offer are amazing--best on the market, but the customer service at Vertical Leisure (the UK supplier of X-pole) is really terrible. It took me over six weeks to get the correct parts sent to me and over £21 in shipping charges. I had over fifteen emails with customer service and three phone calls to sort out something that should have been simple. When I was sent yet another shipping invoice (for replacements for the wrong items--which I also paid to ship back), I called to... (read more)

I just ordered the X-Pole Xpert for my girlfriend. She's been having pole dancing lessons for the last 3 months. I ordered it from http://www.ecscards.co.uk/ Paid £9.99 for next day delivery. And it arrived next day. She will be pleased. So will I. (read more)

Bought my pole through http://www.pole-dancing-pole.co.uk and haven't looked back. It's very sturdy and easier to put up now because you set it up fromt he bottom(I used to have the old XPole and nearly feel off my ladders putting it up!).
Chrome coating is quite grippy, and can do all sorts of spins and inverts on it.
love it!

I bought an X-Pole and 18 months later on the coating is flaking off!!! I've been told that it is out of warranty but they will give me a discount on the replacement part - a whopping £9.89 discount - PATHETIC! Whats to say that in another 18 months this replacement part won't break? Their answer to my question is " ???? " THEY JUST KEEP QUOTING THEIR STANDARD SALES JARGON AT ME ! (read more)

I noticed XPole had released a new type of pole, the sport pole. I had previously considered buying the original XPole, because my friend had one, but it was a bit awkward to put up and down.
Very easy to set up, and feels very secure when I'm on it. Managed to do all my spins, and can easily climb to the top without it so much as budging. I really reccomend the new Xpole!

I bought an x- pole from www.poledancecommunity.co.uk and have really enjoyed using it, it does everything I want it to do and purchasing was a fast hassle free transaction. I would recommend the 50mm x-pole to either professional dancers or amateurs. (read more)

Once up Vertical Dance X-pole Pole is great, however I would not recommend buying one unless you have someone to help you put it up as it is very heavy and involves getting on step ladders. (read more)

Very expensive for what it actually is. Can be tricky to remove protective wax coating before first use, maximum basic height of 9 feet (not good if you have high ceilings) but can be extended. Easy to assemble (read more)

I have had my xpole for 3 years. In that time, it has been used on a very regular basis by myself, my family and friends, and my 14 stone boyfirend. It has never shifted or moved while any of us have been using it. Very easy to switch to spinning mode, and spins so freely that it can make me very dizzy! Easy to clean, I have had no issues with it rusting or peeling. Customer service is excellent, I lost my hex key over a year after buying the pole, and was sent a replacement free of charge... I was very happy with my pole got it for Christmas 2006. I have a house in Spain and I took it there in May 2007 as I have a gymn in the house and the construction of the house made the pole very stable.
I used it all summer as part of my work out. In October we closed up the house for the winter. The house has a climate control system so no humidity and constant temperature but the pole went rusty. We were a bit later than usual in visiting the house this year didnt visit until June 2008....

High the X Pole is the best pole i have used. It is fully portable and can be put up or taken down in less than 5 miniutes. I can spin and hang up side down. The pole is very stable. Very hard to get one. Most dealers seem to be out of stock. (read more)

I wouldn't recommend using Vertical Dance to buy your pole. They were very poor at telling me what was in stock and so i didn't get it within the "guaranteed" 48 hour delivery. You can buy it for the same price at the X-pole website so I suggest you use them instead. (read more)

Mmm I am not very happy mine went rusty. Vectical Leisure are insisting its something I have done. Stored it badly etc but I haven't. I think I got a pole from a "bad batch" but they are not interested to help. Not good.

Vertical Dance and Vertical Leisure are run by the same people and therefore part of the same company.
<br/>You are right, they aren't good at telling you whats in stock and whats not, but the x-pole itself is very good value for money. Compared to other poles available, it's price is very competitive, also, unlike any other pole you can buy, it is designed for home use and therefore breaks down into reasonable size compartments which are easy to store, should you ever decide to take your pole down. Another positive about the x-pole is the wide top plate which sits between to joists, which transfers the pressure more widely, reducing ceiling damage, which is a common occurrence when using a pole with a smaller top plate.
