Moneygram Money Transfer is the WORST company I ever had to deal with! My mother in law sent me money from Spain, and somebody else (in North Carolina and I live in Chicago) took those money in the same day at almost the same time she sent them. How can be possible?? And now they try to get rid of me, sending me to fill a police report.

I have been sending money regularly to South America for several years through Moneygram. The only problem(s) I have experienced occurred when the operator didn't realize that I was sending a South American country and not a US city. I am satisfied with their service.

This was the most ridiculous "bait and switch" I have ever encountered. I paid for the Moneygram Money Transfer "speed" service to get cash down to my son in S.C so he could have it immediately. The only 2 locations their were either having trouble with their money gram machine or wanted to charge him another fee on top of what I already paid! he was told to come back tomorrow to see if the machine was back up. The next day, of course, the machine was not up and they sent him an hour away to ano ...

I had trouble when I use Moneygram. The Chilean computer got in a flap because I was not registered as living in my son's house (as I was visiting) it took half an hour for the human to give up and let me have my money.
In England my Post Office staff don't seem to know what they are doing and find it really hard to tell me how much English money they want off me to give a precise amount to the recipiant in Peru. That took half an hour to sort out too.

I've moneygrammed several times to Chile a ...

Fast, and efficient all in all only 10 minutes to wire over and collect. All I can say is recipients does not have to pay any commission in Singapore and get exactly what the Post Office here in the UK has stated. Perhaps people in Singapore are honest and that is the majority I have experienced.

My son had his card stolen in Thailand (gap year). I sent £200 from England to my son went through very quickly in under 15 mins, he collected from post office there using reference number and "secret" question.
Straightforward and successful so I sent more money 4 weeks later to be collected from Siam bank, again no problems, you get a ref number and secret question.
Very satisfied and you get a good fully-detailed receipt.

I had to receive money at Savemart location, Moneygram said I had to call 1-800 numbers because of some problem, I dialed and waited 15 minutes on the phone for representative, I had to use my cell phone and minutes are not free as you know! Nobody answered in 15 minutes and I hanged up and redialed again and chosen other option to get alive person on the phone, finally I got to talk to a representative and he said there is NO problem with my transaction! I would never use MoneyGram again! I alw ...

Long story short my debit card was canceled from the states and I had to have money sent to me from Palo Alto, California, USA to Madrid, Spain. I decided to try Moneygram, despite the negative review above. Well, my experience has been fantastic. In the states, the sender paid 41 dollars to send 2100 dollars. The location was a Longs Drugs store in Palo Alto. The next day, I woke up, walked down the street to the bank that they sent the wire to, here in Madrid, and after 20 minutes filling out a ...

I have used Moneygram once to send £500 to my sister in Italy. I was charged a ridiculously high fee, something like £90, I can't remember with exactness, but it was not below £90. Then I was give a number that I had to give to my sister once the money got there, which, by the way, got there only after 14 days ,for reasons that Moneygram don't even know.
My sister then went to one of these ridiculous Moneygram points or whatever they are called, I actually had to investigate m ...
