Good Points: It is a good size and has a good display. It is Tri-Band.
Bad Points: Menus are a bit annoying. The accept and decline keys seem to swap sides depending on which function you are using.
General comments: The Motorola Ti280 is a good tri-band phone with good display and quality of sound. However, the menu does not seem to be very intuitive and does not maximise the use of the large display. Seems to have large display, but text is still quite small and dull.

Overall, the Motorola Ti280 is a very good mobile phone with lots of features and good battery life. Unfortunately you can't download ring tones or graphics (as far as I know). The infrared feature is really nice if it would work with True Sync software under windows 2000. Phone is made in Germany and you can feel the quality.

If I look back, I wouldn't choose the Motorola Ti280 mobile phone once again but would stay with my old T250 or change to Nokia, Samsung or others.

This Motorola Ti280 mobile phone is a massive improvement on the Timeport 250 dog. Firmware is much more like a Nokia (i.e. intuitive). However there seems to be too many 'are you sure?' steps, and the yes option switches sides on the dynamic buttons at the top, so you pogo around the keys a bit (the Nokia middle button is so much better). Dial and Hangup keys are the wrong way round compared to alot of phones, and are very close to dynamic keys. Hangup button doubles as a cancel function button ...

The Motorola Ti280 is a welcome change from those ultracompact nokia mobile phones. Sound quality is excellent. Keypad is large and lights up well when it is dark. Handsfree speaker is what sold me on this phone (can't stand putting those little earpieces in). People in the back seat of the car were able to hear and be heard perfectly well. Very easy to figure out how to enter names in the phonebook, appointments in the datebook (love the alarm feature). belt holster was really the only negative ...
