Years ago, when I used to have a Webley Junior pistol, my elder brother used to rave about the Mk 3 rifles quality. Neither of us got round to owning one. Recently I was given a '50's Junior rifle, & it started up that itch again. My bro recently died, & it seemed fit & proper I should buy one at last. It took some time to track down a decent one. Some I saw advertised were mixtures of parts from different models, some vastly overpriced. In the end, months later, I saw one in .22... (read more)

I found a webley mark 3 in my grandads shed, he told me it was my uncles an is now about 45 years old, unfortunately the shed isnt the dryest place in the world and is quite rusted. AFter some grease it works almost every time, however the trigger is very stiff when cocked, it is about 6 inches out of accuracy, does anybody know how i would go about re-aligning it, or would it be best to take to a gunsmiths?
Thankyou

Webley Mark 3 is light weight yet powerful. extremely accurate even at ranges of 50 plus meters. i am now 37 years old and have had my mk3 .177cal since i turned 10. my rifle is in perfect condition and is still used every week at the local gun club. thanks webley. they don't make airguns with this high standard anymore, pity. . The Webley Mark 3 is a very well made air rifle and has stood the test of time in power and looks. it is made of solid construction which makes it a little heavy, I do not consider this to be a bad point. One bad point is that the wood up to the trigger guard can split, I have seen quite a few with bad cracks. the tap is so well made and this can stiffen if not stipped and lubricated well. on the later Mark 3 Webley they spot welded a scope rail, (silly Webley) I collect all underlever... The Webley Mark 3 is an amazing rifle. It's brilliant for distance work because of it's accuracy and power. It is best used by adults (too heavy for younger shooters) and is very tough to cock, due to the strength of the spring-piston inside. (read more)

The Webley Mark 3 is an old rifle and from what I can see not many people have one of these.
Mine was given to me by my dad 5 years ago but he's had it since the 50's, it's around 700fps and considering that's it's been fired probably 10,000 times or more (I'm a very big shooter) the powers holding up, it's still as accurate as the day it was bought and even though it's only fitted with 3-9x32 scope it could take far larger scopes. There is one being sold on a website I know for about £150...

Is it .177 or .22 and at 700 fps i can only assume its .177- but i think not. They cost 90 quid in the fifties - i think not.

Hi, I got this oldie in 1975, and it is still in good shape. I'm willing to trade it for a more usable gun, for this is really more a collectable item. Anyone interested?

The Webley Mark 3 is a traditional under lever air rifle made between the early 50s upto the early 70s(mines a 67)
was bought for me as a gift in the mid 80s when I was in me teens, fell in love with its looks and immediately sold my original 50 and baikel. Its got a hefty kick to it and I've no idea of the power but its got a fair "whack" to it. I used to have no problems killing rats and squirrels with it at me grandads farm.

Hi Have to disagree on the price you give for the MKIII. I bought mine new in 1964 and I still have it. At the time I paid 28 pounds for it and that included factory installed extras such as sling swivels. Nice rifle. 550 FPS in .22.
