Good Points: Quiet and luxurious, representing good value for money.
Within ten minutes walk of the nearest restaurants and shops.
    Rooms pleasant, airy and clean.

Bad Points: No bad points regarding the hotel.

General comments: The Indonesian scenery is picturesque, and the food is fine. Unfortunately, Bali has become the Tenerife of the Aussies, so the local resorts can be artificial, tacky and far from authentic. You will be mithered by the locals when you leave the hotel, but this unwanted attention is short-lived and not too menacing.
The Nasi Goreng served at the Melia Bali Villa and Spa in Nusa Dua is good, and the Satay Chicken arrives at your table on its own smouldering miniature barbeque. The hotel has a private sandy white beach which sits in a cove. Balinese hotels are phenomenal, and the Melia Bali is right up there with the best.

I have stayed at the Melia 6 times in the last three years, having travelled the World I've yet to find anywhere that matches the sheer ambiance and friendliness of the Melia
