I've had my Motorola V600 for over two years now I think, and so far I've not had any problems with it at all. It is easy to use and reliable, has never switched itself off - despite being on 24/7 and having been dropped quite a few times, once on a hard concrete floor. It got a small crack down the front but still works perfectly!

Writing, sending and receiving text messages couldn't be simpler and I can store around 80 sms messages in my inbox before it is nearly full (one of the reasons why I replaced my Samsug A800). It has travelled around the world with me and always finds a network as soon as it is turned on at the airport, thanks to the quadband.

The bad points: The profile button is on the side and is too easily reset, by just sitting in my bag or pocket. Very annoying.
There is no way I can go back and view/change information I've stored in the calendar.
The front scratches quite easily, I've also manged to scratch the keypad as well.
The charger broke a couple of months ago, but will work if it's plugged into a desktop charger so that's what I have to use to charge my phone now. Quite annoying if I'm travelling.

As much as I love this phone I do want to point out that my first phone, a Nokia 3310 is still, after over 5 years, going strong without any problems at all, and so is my Samsung A800 and neither of those have similar faults or the scratches the V600 has despite being older. Even their chargers work perfectly.
My next phone will not be a Motorola.

The Motorola V600 mobile phone is the third phone I have owned, and I would definitely say it is the best! It had always worked perfectly for me, and I have never had any problems. The games are fantastic, and the pictures taken by the digital camera are really clear. I love this phone!
The only bad thing is that there is not a video recorder, but apart from that it is brilliant! The value for money was really good. I got this phone off eBay for £36, and it was in perfect condition when ...

Whether it was just a problem with my Motorola V600 mobile phone or all of them, I don't know, but my phone jumped from silent to loud, to vibrate to soft when it felt like it, and sometimes it would refuse to return to how I wanted it. It would turn off and on without me having to do anything to it, and this I found extremely inconvenient.

The Motorola V600 phone looks good, and has a sleek "quality" look with it. But, it is riddled with problems. My screen switches on and off of its own accord and sometimes the phone just switches itself off! It often wont send text messages and occasionally wont recieve them either-or it will have a long time delay. It allegedly has an mp3 player but as far as I have worked out it doesnt exist.
The software which the phone came with is appauling and is just an advert for Motorola.
    The buttons ...

Ok, I've had the Motorola V600 phone for about 18 months.

I just don't understand why Motorola doesn't take notice of what the opposition is doing. The Nokia phone book is way better, the Samsung alarms and ring tones are superior so where does that leave Motorola. A distant 3rd or 4th.

Anyway, the phone has worked for me, but I seriously doubt I'll be buying another Motorola unless I can physically see the features on the phone. Brochures are so misleading.

    Where do I start?

Ive tolerated the Motorola V600 for about a year now but now I'm getting a Nokia 6230i.

The design is fairly nice and the phone is well built however it scratches very easily and I have had nothing but problems with it.

To be fair the phone has some nice applications such as a datebook, but lets face it most phones have similar stuff built in.

My first gripe is that text messages do not send at random, which is really annoying. The only way to get round it is to for ...

Both me and my girlfriend got the Motorola V600 mobile phone at the same time. Both are now not working properly.

With hers, it's the front screen that has a mind of its own - sometimes blank, sometimes fuzzy, but resets (for a short while) when you take the battery out. Mine has just given up with text. If I try to write a text message, or enter someones name in the phone book, the phone freezes then crashes and reboots. Joy!

And why do I get no reception in places where my mate with the ...

The Motorola V600 is a sleek phone for someone who would be happy to compromise on some features, just for the looks.

At first I liked the Motorola V600 mobile phone, but the first thing I noticed was that it got quieter and quieter until I couldn't hear anything, and at the moment I have to talk to people on the loudspeaker!
The flip stopped working, and the phone constantly thought it was open. My personal biggest hate is, at random times text messages just won't send for no apparent reason.
After this, I'm never getting another Motorola! It's Samsung all the way for me...

I've had my phone for a couple of months now, and everything that can go wrong with it has!! It doesn't send or receive text messages anymore, it only receives phone calls when it chooses to, and making a phone call is out of the question. The front screen flashes between the time and company when it is meant to stay the same. The back is flimsy and falls off constantly. The battery needs hours of charging for it to work for only a few minutes!! In the outbox, there are even a few texts I have ...

Motorola V600 - Very bad. I get already three times replacement for this trash and I still have problems. My provider offered to replace it again. I decide stay away from this phone and my provider in future.

The problems I experienced are too lengthy to describe. Do not buy this phone.

I was so exited on the day I bought this phone. The Motorola V600 is a beautiful phone, and it appears to be well designed. After a month I found that is not the case.

First of all, they put about 30 seconds of thought into the "profile" button on the side of the phone. Say for example, you enter a movie theatre, and the movie has started and you realize that you've left your ringer on. In order to change the profile, you press the button and no matter what, you have to make a loud obnoxious ...

Bought my Motorola V600 2 month ago and it has been excellent ever since, bought after the LGU8120 (had a little competition) and after 2 hours it was better. The texting is fast and keeps up with me (I send 150 per week on average). The screen is very clear and the games are really good. The battery life is longer than my previous phone, with four days of constant use and Bluetooth it need recharging, this is very good as without Bluetooth or texting the battery life has extended to around 2 we ...

This phone was brilliant for about an hour.
The Motorola V600 when in a pocket will suddenly decide to switch the profile.. usually resulting in a really loud ringtone when you thought your phone was on silent.
The battery life on this phone is poor, it manages a day if your lucky.
The camera takes a brilliant picture... until you come back to look at it again and it's all distaughted and resembles nothing but a blur.
The phone decides whether you're going to recieve or infact send a text m ...

Battery life is OK at about 4 days, but indicator goes from 3 green bars (full) to flashing orange (empty) in about 4 hours: infuriating!
Side buttons mean that it is too easy to alter ringer volume inadvertantly.
    Screen is unreadable except indoors.
These 3 niggles completely spoil what would otherwise be a good (if too chunky) phone.

I've had my Motorola V600 for nearly a year now, and I can't wait to get rid of it when I upgrade. I was initially impressed by the look of the phone, however the back plate is very flimsy and doesn't fit properly and the two parts of the clamshell are also rather wobbly. Small things started going wrong with this phone quite quickly: the clamshell didn't shut properly so was constantly active, resulting in missed calls and poor battery life. Now the microphone is deteriorating so that I sometim ...

I have had my Motorola V600 for about three months now having got it on a free upgrade. I have owned many different Motorola flip phones but all of them were early models. Moving back to Motorola from Nokia and Siemens has been a bad move as far as I am concerned. The V600 is best described as slow. It is slow when switching on and slow when texting. The phone does not keep up with the user with most text function changes taking two seconds. Changing from letters to numbers is poor and if you ha ...

I would not recommend the Motorola V600 at all. I think Motorola should be compensating phone dealers and in turn phone dealers should think very strongly about looking after their customers.

I bought a Motorola V600 on eBay as somebody's brand new unwanted O2 upgrade. Within 1 month of purchase my phone gave up and died. eBay seller sent phone to the Motorola service centre and two weeks later had it back with assurances I would have no further problems. Two weeks later it ceased living again so I sent it to the repair centre myself outlining its many problems and details of purchase etc. They had no problems repairing it free of charge for me but unfortunately it lasted only 3 days ...
