Good Points: The standard that others are measured against.

Bad Points: Steep learning curve to get the best out of it.

General comments: I have used photoshop for over 4 years and this version is excellent. I have tried CS4 on a friends machine but we struggled to import all his plugins so we are sticking with CS3.

As with all editing programs, the more you use and play with it, the better the results you will get. It cannot do everything that other similar packages have but it will do most. As a complete solution imho it is the best package for the PC thats out there.

Be careful with the plugins though as not all will seemingly work with CS3 after upgrading. And for me, some for CS3 do not seem to work for CS4 if you upgrade again !

Photoshop gives photographers almost total control over the image. It has everything to change a bad photo into a beautiful one. By providing tools like lens error correction, one can correct the camera flaws like vignetting, chromatic abbretions, etc
The only drawback I found using this is it requires big RAM-about 1GB or preferably 2GB- to run smoothly. If your PC is pentium 4, equipped with good RAM and a LCD monitor capable of delivering good resolution, go for it. There is nothing better av ...

Easy to use guides which is very good as my son uses this and he quite a young man and he finds it easy to use and underastand. Lots of different items styles graphics and so its easy to get lost using this, but once you get used to it, it is definitely one of the best if not the best Photo Editing Software I have used therefore well recommend Adobe Photoshop 10.

I got this program for my laptop originally but found out that it doesn't run very well. So I installed it on my computer instead and found it a really good photo editing software. I would say it more for people who know a bit about photo editing. There are tutorials you can follow so you can get to know all the functions on the software. Auto selection isn't that good, say you had a white top on and you were trying to select the white wall behind you, it would select the wall but also your whit ...

As I said, I used to use Paint Shop Pro, I still find it easier to use but Photoshop runs better for me, and probably a lot of others, Photoshop 10 takes about 30 seconds to load and be ready for what I needed to do, PSP still takes at least 2 minutes to be ready. It takes slightly longer than PSP to get things the way you need them for each picture as well but in the end, I prefer it.
