I have used Sainsburys home delivery once, when the driver turned up he asked to see proof of ID, which I found very bizarre, having used Tesco and Asda before for grocery delivery and not been asked I was quite puzzled. Then ensured a lot of rooting around by me looking for some ID while my shopping defrosted on my doorstep. How pathetic can a shop be!
He tried to appease me by telling me it would only be the first time that this is asked of me, to which I replied that neither Tesco or Asda ask for ID. Anyway, I decided to make a second order and now find that my account has mysteriously disappeared, meaning I have to re-register, have lost all my favourites, and yes...will have to show ID AGAIN when it arrives.

The sainsburys van broke down on the night we were meant to receive our shopping, van driver was very helpful and explained that I would get another delivery and my food would be re-picked.

The depot then called me to say they couldn't deliver till the following evening - a whole 24 hours later as they can't break up routes! I would get a £10 voucher.

Excellent. The service is on time, the delivery people are always courteous and helpful, and i have only very, very rarely had to send something back because it was substandard. Perhaps three or four times, in as many years. (Once two of the eggs in a box of six were broken, and the chap entered it as 'returned goods', then let me keep the other eggs, because - as he said - they'd only throw them away. so i got a refund as well as four free eggs!) We used to live quite close to a Sainsburys store but after buying our new house we were just that little bit too far away to carry our shopping home!
We decided to use Sainsburys as generally we were impressed with the quality and level of customer service at our local store. Shame this is not replicated online.
From our list only half of what we got was what we ordered, the replacement products were either twice the price and half the quality or just useless to us. If I buy a vegetarianpizz ...

I recently placed two orders with Sainsburys, both failed for different reasons. The first because the quality of the product was poor: rather a lot of substandard produce; a substitution that wasn't adequate yet more expensive; and strangely, every carrier bag was knotted tightly, so reusing it was completely impossible (we had to cut open every bag). Sainsburys to You is absolutely amazing, i have been using tesco.com for a few years and got annoyed at the constant substitutions on deliver so i tried the sainsburys website and it is in a league of its on its so intuitive and logically laid out its a joy to use and i love the running total is always on the middle right of the page excellent and the best bit was i did the same shop as i normally do and instead of it being £90 its was £65.00 and the delivery was bang on the time i ...

I would like Sainsburys to You to find some way of adding e-voucher codes to their nectar vouchers so these can be used on-line. I would like to be able to use my nectar vouchers on-line as I feel I miss out on a lot of point collection offers. Overall very friendly delivery drivers and helpline.

The service is excellent. The follow-up service is also excellent, if there is a problem with your goods the customer service team respond immediately and address compenstaion. Love the fact only have an hour slot for delivery, and compensation if late. Very friendly and helpful delivery people. Would recommend very strongly!
A super service. Only wish could redeem Nectar points on line and use offers vouchers that come through for shopping in store, on-line.

I have been trying out various grocery deliveries (Tesco, Ocado etc) but www.sainsburystoyou.co.uk are by far the worst. My first order was over 50% substitutes and food within a day or so of the sell-by-date.

When I complained the customer service team gave me a voucher towards another shop, and so hoping this was just a bad one-off I tried them again. This time a number of essential grocery items have not even turned up. I now have to wait 10 days to have my money refunded, although I got no ...

I noticed, after reading several disgruntled reviews, that the lady with a mobility problem, like myself, was grateful that somebody would do her shopping.nothing like a bit of disability to make you see the world from a different point of view and to be thankful for small mercies., so thank you sainsburys from me too.

I didn't find customer service very helpful. I always feel that they think I am lying when I complain about soft tomatoes, broken eggs, items out of date etc. My Christmas shop was a nightmare - at least thirty alternatives were sent and items were missing, but the shop cost more.

I have just received my Christmas order from Sainsburys To You having had to finalise it two days beforehand.

Delivery was expected between 1 - 2, but arrived at 3:30 - perhaps to be expected in the Christmas rush. The driver had the courtesy to advise of the delay.

Substitutions went over the page, but the problem was the items that were substituted. The turkey! It was replaced by a lesser turkey - lesser pork stuffing - lesser yet more expensive smoked salmon, lesser steak. They had ...

I wouldn't even recommend Sainsburys to you or to my worst enemy let alone a friend because the service of this once great company has really gone down the tubes. I have shopped with Sainsburys to you for ages but I won't again. My last shop came with half the shopping missing - £30 worth of chilled items not there. We told them straight away but they said we wouldn't get it that day. It was things we needed so I ended up in the local supermarket at 10pm that night doing it myself. I thought that buying from Sainsburys To You might be the answer for me. However, when I found that raw meats were being put into the same bags as cooked meats, it ruined that feel good feeling of someone else doing the shopping on my behalf. At least if I do my own shopping I can choose the quality myself, and pack my bags the way they should be packed.

I arranged to have my shopping delivered between 10am - 12pm. By 12:20 I still had not received my delivery from Sainsburys to You, and I had an appointment to keep at 1pm. I called customer services, who then said that the store manager was about to call me because the van had broken down. To add insult to injury, there were too many substitutes.
